nerys Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 Is the source available for subspace ? I want to look into finding someone to port this to the palm pilot (Zodiac) ? Chris Taylorhttp://www.zodiacreview.com/
nerys Posted October 7, 2005 Author Report Posted October 7, 2005 how about developer to developer. ie I find one willing to do it and get them in contact with you or whoever has it ? Also why is it not public (out of curiosity) Chris Taylorhttp://www.zodiacreview.com/
»SOS Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 It's kept private for security and will never be revealed to anyone. In the strictest sense of never and anyone. Only one person in the world has it.
The Apache Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 Either way, all the development plans for continuum never happens in the end. I mean, look was have happened to the Continuum Improvement topic! It's literally died.Unless SOS can reply to it in time, I might think about editing this post.
Smong Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 how about developer to developer. ie I find one willing to do it and get them in contact with you or whoever has it ? Also why is it not public (out of curiosity) Chris Taylorhttp://www.zodiacreview.com/Newcomers here usually get flamed badly and never come back, more so for people who try and remake the game, just ignore them. As for Zodiac, last I heard the company went bankrupt, is there really a target audience? even if remaining units are going at a very attractive price. Subspace for mobile devices, impossible, there just aren't enough keys. However a cut down version is possible. You are better off trying to clone what you can see. This way you can drop things that won't work well for such a small screen and also have a chance to write better netcode. Finally why don't I myself make such a game for Palm OS? Well I'm out of touch with the Palm world, if someone sends me a bluetooth program for more than 2 users with source code that can be used to base the netcode off, I might consider it. For me it is too tedious to get such example code, even though I wrote this demo for OS 3.http://toktok.sscentral.com/files/mspace26.avi
1stStrike Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 A pocket pc version would be nice..especially since everyone is going pocket pc these days the audience is much larger. Also, there's better hardware support.
»D1st0rt Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 You can get the stuff from snrrrubspace as a start...
