how to forward ports to a router

with this new router i got it makes it say when i enter a zone connection server lost and i heard u need to forward ports to a router but im not exactly sure how

 

o and i cant download the server/zones either

 

and it goes green and red together switching on my continuum

 

even if u tell me something else would help still i would like to no how to forward ports to a router

Port forewarding is only needed if you are running a server on your own. If your having problems playing with your new router, make sure its allowing UDP connections.

You probably have a router that has bad drivers. Try updating them if you know what your doing or get a friend to do it.

Errr, what I mean by bad drivers is they could be buggy. Which is usually what you get when you just buy it. A good practice to follow is to buy your hardware, and update it before using it. Usually by the time you buy it the manufactures have updated drivers for it unless it is super new.
