CANT DOWNLOAD/UPDATE ZONE LIST

I put in sscentral.subspace.inet.fi sscentral.subspacehq.com sscentral.subspace.net sscentral.ds98.com for the required directory server address list and it wont update. It says:

"Error

Unable to retrieve new zone listing. Make sure you are using one or more valid directory server addresses (example: sscentral.subspace.net). Also, make sure you are currently connected to the internet."

Can someone help me out? I finally found a site that game me v.38 and v.39 prerelease 1, got it running, and now i cant find any zones...

SSCUservers.net is probally the only one that works. TT has one up, I dont know what it is but if you look around on the forums its somewhere. Also, do you have a firewall?

 

Also, I found a topic that has a list of zone ips so you can add them customly: http://www.ssforum.net/c/index.php?showtopic=6581 - Its missing one of the latest zones

Yeah, I have Zone Alarms but I disabled it. I also tried to connect by ip which didnt work. It didnt update at all.

sscentral.sscuservers.net is the only one that still works.

(Testtube's Directory Server @ 69.56.172.170 doesn't work anymore)

 

You can always look at http://stats.17thparallel.com and view the zone's information to get the IP and port for the zone.

The game comes with default zones. Do they work?

 

If not, see the FAQ about not being able to connect.

 

Also, do a trace and tell us whether it shows anything or the list is just blank. (Press the trace button when a zone is selected)
