1. How do i update the news section? (Using version 1.34.14)

2. How do i make sure that everytime i die i respawn in the safety zone?

just do *putfile news.txt i belive

This Zone is currently using SubGame 1.34.14

You can do the following extra commands other than ones listed in F1:

 

?lag - Shows your lag and ping all at once

 

?getnews - Downloads news.txt file

 

?cheater (text) - Will message all only messages your text message

News.txt must be set to read-only at the server-side. Check that first.

 

About setting the spawn, look at http://wiki.minegoboom.com/index.php/Complete_Settings#S and scroll down to 'Spawn [Continuum .38]'

And just in case something is unclear: this is how to change news.txt:

 

1) Download it to the Continuum directory (*getfile news.txt).

2) Edit it.

3) Upload it again (*putfile news.txt).

 

That should work. Are you sure you are editing the news.txt in the Continuum directory?

 

And yeah, as Mav said, there's a small tiny chance that the news.txt is just set to read-only at the server side.

About the respawning, make sure your safe is at 512 512 in the map editor, or somewhere in that region, but make sure the safe is somewhat in that area. Also, in the settings change your WarpRadiusLimit under the misc settings is set to somewhere around 8. Increase this limit for players to spawn wider.
