I can understand what you mean by keeping the comunity open and fair and I know how Subspace works. I know Sysops and SSC memebers will have to respect players unwriten and unspoken rights, even if they're not bound legally to do so. Continue on if you want but I think finding out information and bring resolution to this is better then being some unimportant !@#$%^&* who sits on a forum flamming. Those rights I believe do not extend to the behavior he was presenting on a daily bases, and contineues to do within the network. This is spamming, this is harr!@#$%^&*ment on a massive level and it is there to acomplish 1 task, annoy as many !@#$%^&*ers as it can. You give fuel to his fire of arrogant idiocy, nothing more. I don't believe politics is banned in MG, and it shouldn't be worthly of a network ban. Spinsanity's idea of politics I think will not be tolerated there and his spam and harr!@#$%^&*ment are against network rules, like we've said too many times. All I ask is that you go watch this player before making any further !@#$%^&*ertions and maybe ask TT what this unwriten law is for MG and how it pretains to Spinsanity's case. We're making a lot of asumptions here. Even if it is completely banned in MG i'm fine with it really, it's probably not right but not that big of a deal to me, just one less spamming drone. The person this time is more important the any precedent set, not that there will be any due to the specific nature of his behavior.

For example, imagine we were in nazi germany, shortly after Jews were forbidden from serving in the armed forces. Someone might want to ban Jews from holding high-education jobs like doctors or professors. Now someone brings up that we shouldn't impede on the rights of the Jews, but the counterargument is that we have already done so in the past, so clearly we can invade in the rights of the Jews. It's similar to the old saying, "Two wrongs don't make a right."

I was refering to your insults, we can do without them here and I didn't start it off. You need to make your self more clear in the future if you dont want to be in a situation like this. I was not rehashing anything I was only clearifying what should happen to Spinsanity. Discrediting me and insulting me is probably just as bad as what Spinsanity (and now to many of you TT) does to everyone else, your discredit, slience and agrovate people into shutting up. If you don't want to be insulted, then try posting some logic. No one discredited my agreement which were pretty much agreement with Bak's statements. All I got was "You don't know what you're talking about", which I do, and that proves that you're a newb. Yes, there's something called proof. Otherwise your insults are just nameless trash. Funny thing that. That's what has always separated the trash talkers. Those that can trash others & take names during SubSpace, and those that just trash. Similar difference here. There was a practical basis for the insult, and thus you got flamed.
Aileron Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 First off if I'm not mistaken I thought Rush Lindbaugh did talk politics and ended up having to quit because of it...so I think its a very good example. Secondly, Bush-Clinton relief fund is an exact example of strict political nuetrality. It implies that both men are uniters instead of dividers because it proves it...they set aside their differences to solve a problem. You may hate Bush, but that's the reality. It might be a token effort, but that's insignificant in the big picture. I kinda agree with TT's decision here...it looks like spin was creating a problem rather than having a peacefull discussion, and I don't pity anyone who was warned several times to stop and got banned because of it. Metal Gear does of a tendency to be overzealous with bans...its the only zone I personally have ever been banned from (one of my rockets got hit by a repel and tked a teammate, after I had one aiming accident and one idiot teammate who hugged my target.). Its a pity SWR collapsed...I'd invite you to go there to see what a sysop who's out of line looks like, so that you wouldn't complain about those who happen to be in their rights.

When I started this protest, I figured TestTube or someone else would present this stuff, I was wrong--Kolar reminded me.I did blur out some private chat not related. I took screen shots of TestTube's chat because I was shocked at getting banned due to "political talk", Otherwise the screen shots were taken because I needed the info later or by accident. I find it hard to believe that no one holds the owners accountable to common standards and interest of the SSC network... Without this "for the common good" accountability you will get these excessive bans (or being banned for "freedom of speech issues". The individual owners will get a god complex, cronyism follows then you get the corrupt-guard/sneaky-prisoner (mod/player) thing going and it becomes normal, when it need not be that way. A little quality control of the SSC zones coupled with asking the owners to think about the SSC network would go a long way. I hate to put it this way, but since I noticed that Lear Jett told me- "You know, there are other servers to play in" (Reason I hate it... Lear Jett knows damm well if I didn't care about THIS zone I would not be !@#$%^&*ing) I will sum up what I said above in Lear Jetts style-To Zone Owners: If you do not want to help improve the SSC network and come up with a few common standards and participation for the "common good of the SSC network" then there are other billing servers. Just sayen... they already put in a big sacrifice, it is not asking alot to make a improvement or two, even if does mean a little outside interaction. Since no one else seems to have a example of my public chat, I am working on getting some... then everyone can see why TestTube and I disagree. You broke the rules multiple times with multiple warnings. Your ban is justified. If you dont like the rules of MG, dont play there. Its like playing in an event and getting specced for breaking the rules. Just because you dont like the rules and want to do what you want anyways, doesnt mean you're going to get away with it.

Find for the me where it says you CAN talk politics in MG. If you can find where it says that, then you're ban is unjust. Its funny how you chop out what you say in pub. I know this is kinda part of the other topic but since they're related:"Iraq war had a lot to do with Iraq's oil and nothing to do with the stated reasons Bush used to get us to invade Iraq". That is a example of how "logic questions" are used to get around the facts.. In your case your logic question is "If we invaded Iraq for it's oil, then why are we getting so little of it?", and then you ignore the data that shows the plans and motives of bush's people that planned the Iraq invasion, and say "I won".Now here's a screenshot of you.
