(ADSL) Now im Banned From TW For Changeing Ships to fast Please help NOTE Also Whine I Do A ?lag It Sayes 20ms
»nintendo64 Posted September 21, 2003 Report Posted September 21, 2003 Exactly my question, ADSL can't go upto 4mbps, only like 1.5mbps.VDSL can go upto 4mbps and i believe more. Are you sure you got ADSL? or you got a cable modem? About the Lag: it's a desync problem, Continuum is having problems with its Syncronization Packets, or you may have massive packetloss. -nintendo64
MikeTheNose Posted September 22, 2003 Report Posted September 22, 2003 Windows 9x problem of corrupted dll files causing a desyn time with your computer to the server.
Excel Posted September 22, 2003 Report Posted September 22, 2003 Try kicking your comp. always worked for me but i usually kick it cause i have windows xp.. it fixes all the problems.. really.
»SOS Posted September 22, 2003 Report Posted September 22, 2003 ADSL goes up to 8Mbps. But if the server says you spike, then you spike. You could also try shutting down all other programs before playing.
Yupa Posted September 22, 2003 Report Posted September 22, 2003 good point, don't download 100 songs off kazaa while you play
Guest JRWR Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 I Dont Use kazaa or any p2p software
hjeffb Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 I also use windows xp and as excel said "kicking"fixes alot of problems. I personaly use a 21 oz hammer but remember that the monito is mearly a messenger. don't kill the messenger
Bargeld Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 if you download at 800 Mbits per sec for 10 secs, then download 0 bits for the next ten secs... you have a speed of 400 Mbits/sec. !@#$%^&* yeah, you download fast as !@#$%^&*... but it would suck for gaming. Just an extreme example to prove a point... High thoroughput != rock solid connection.
