ID number

I am trying to create my own zone but to edit some stuff i need to enter my zone as sysop,

In the file server.csg you need to edit at the Owner:UserID= spot i need to fill in my IDnumber(UserID) of continuum/Subspace so continuum can reconise me as sysop so i can enter the arena.

 

(btw: My acount is Witchie NL for when u can find my userID number.... and if u think i dont need it i get it from the site: http://www.shanky.com/server/)

 

How can i find out my UserID number of my acount?

 

And can you please sent the awnser in an email becouse i dont get on this site verry often ... but at my email i do...

To become sysop its better to put your own name on sysop.txt and then when entering the zone typing the *sysopPw - sysop password - which is located in your server.ini.

You will then be logged into sysop (try *log for example) and then you can edit all settings of all subarenas without putting your userid on the server.cfg file.

 

In answer to your question though, you can find your userid by typing ?userid in-game.

yes, add yourself to the sysop.txt file OR, in your profile password, add *sysopp!@#$%^&*word (using the sysop password that you set in the server.ini) to the end of your normal password.

 

i.e. -

Name: Bargeld

password: gamep!@#$%^&**sysopp!@#$%^&*word

 

Set the userID to -1 in the zone files.

I did typ *SysopPW behind my pw in continuum but if i enter it says "bla bla lba it apearst to bee red, yellow or gereen in your zone list"

(Probebly you know like 1-2-3 what it is but i dont know)

on the site i gave to you earlyer where i get info from it doesent say what program's you must have running like: SCOREMAN.exe and how to use it,

and it also doesent say hwo u must create a .lvz file it does say u must create 1 but not how i tried to open 1 from files in zone list map but it sais unable to open -level-.lvz for example.

 

now im asking do you know a better site for me or do you have an instruction/tuturial for me so i can get helped further.

And another question (u probebly get eritated by all those questions) but when i open subill.exe and subgame2.exe it sais "biling server conected" and all thos bla bla bla but what does i mean when subgame2.exe sais after conecting:

Hmmm, I think (not sure) that subgame rereads the .cfg file every once in a while and it took 0 ms to complete that operation. This will surely happen once you are changing the server.cfg or any other .cfg files. Nothing to worry about though.

Thank you but u have an tuturial for me or somsort of website where you can see how to rune and sucsesfully get your zone online (i dont have an ASSS sone so not a site from that) (hmmm there i say somthing what if i try an ASSS zone....)

Yes it actualy was and u know what was the embaracing thing my total usage over all my acounts is over 5000 hours... omg and i still didnt know lolololol but it is actualy realy simple yes..

Note that you must do ?userid in your own zone. If you get the number from elsewhere, it'll be wrong.

 

But of course, as has been said, you don't really need the userid at all.

I'd say your best bet for server-related help is the server help forums here: Server help. The people there might be unfriendly and arrogant but hopyfully not this time. That's the main place that deals with server problems. You'll probably find lots of tuorials there.

 

This forum generally does not deal with issues related to getting a server running.

welll..... i actualy followd evry step excacly as it said but my zone indeed apeared in zone list but after that step the story is getting quite unclear i tried to follow it but it still does not work when i trie to login to my zone it still sais "if the zone is online it apears to be yellow or green in your zone list" thats why im asking another tuturial.
