Hi, i made a tileset using paint shop pro 9 and specificly degraded the color to 256 colors. I then save it and opened it with the tile editor. everything works just fine up to that point.

 

I convert the whole thing into sscu pallet but when i open it it says:

 

tile set bitmapis incorrectly formated

this is not a 256 color bitmap!

 

wut do i do?

Yes i had that problem alot of times but when you get an old map and put your tiles over that one it works fine. Then you can just import that ts into the other map.

Also, note that you do not need to use the SS palette at all.

In fact, you can also use 24-bit tilesets if you use special programs to save the map (SSME will not open such a map).
