»SOS Posted September 19, 2003 Report Posted September 19, 2003 Weel... try the ritual driver reinstalls. Quote
Jericho24. Posted September 19, 2003 Author Report Posted September 19, 2003 stuck meaning its the only res continuum will use... i can select higher but it loads 640x480 reinstalling drivers didnt work Quote
Bargeld Posted September 19, 2003 Report Posted September 19, 2003 sounds like the profile has 640x480 set for it. Change the res in your profiles to Default, then select the res you want from the dropdown on the main screen. http://www.alphasvs.com/images/profile_settings.gif Quote
Jericho24. Posted September 19, 2003 Author Report Posted September 19, 2003 in the profile its set to 2048x1536... Quote
Mr Ekted Posted September 19, 2003 Report Posted September 19, 2003 Even so, if you change the resolution on the menu, when Cont starts up it keeps it whatever it was when you closed, like so... - select profile with 2048x1536 res- in menu, select res 640x480- close cont- start cont- res is still 640x480 To re-apply all current profile settings, you could open profile dialog and press enter (Ctrl-P, ENTER), or change current profile then change it back (END, HOME). Jericho24. Posted September 19, 2003 Author Report Posted September 19, 2003 It is set to 2048x1536 in both the profile and the menu. It always has been and wasnt changed. I have tried all the usual fixes but nothing seems to help..works fine on other computers Quote
Bargeld Posted September 19, 2003 Report Posted September 19, 2003 1)monitor drivers2)"force default resolutions" in the options (try it on and off) Quote
Jericho24. Posted September 19, 2003 Author Report Posted September 19, 2003 I never installed monitor drivers... just plugged it in and turned it on, has worked until now (and still does on everything other than continuum) deafult resolutions was off, but same problem with it on Quote
Jericho24. Posted September 19, 2003 Author Report Posted September 19, 2003 haha no ---ty whoever deleted all the double posts :/ ;P Quote
Jericho24. Posted September 20, 2003 Author Report Posted September 20, 2003 i took the HD out and stuck it in another machine thats almost identical and it worked.. Quote
MikeTheNose Posted September 20, 2003 Report Posted September 20, 2003 How about uninstalling drivers/continuum first before installing over top of them? You may also wish to install continuum into another directory. Quote
Jericho24. Posted September 20, 2003 Author Report Posted September 20, 2003 Mike, have tried all apart from installing it to different directory which i will try now.. Quote
Mr Ekted Posted September 20, 2003 Report Posted September 20, 2003 Sounds like bad interaction between directx and video drivers. Try updating video drivers. If you need help with that, post what video card you have. Then the next thing to try is updating directx. What version do you have now? I use 8.1a, but the latest are something like 9.0b. Quote
Jericho24. Posted September 20, 2003 Author Report Posted September 20, 2003 updated all drivers already, computer is: Xeon 3.02 ghz1GB DDR400 RAMGeForce FX 5900 256MBPanasonic 24" monitorWindows XP ProDirectX 9.0b Quote
»SOS Posted September 20, 2003 Report Posted September 20, 2003 Well, you could downgrade the drivers then. And I want that computer! Quote
