Christians with any sense should have a good long look at the people representing them and clean up their own ranks rather than trying to impose their beliefs on others.

The Pope, Archbishops, Bishops etc should denounce these nuts as not representing the love-thy-neighbour image that good people believe in. Otherwise i'm going to assume that every Christian has this kind of hatred for people they've never met.

The so-called voice of christianity:

Christian Voice is a group led by Stephen Green. They gained notoriety when they circulated the home addresses and telephone numbers of senior BBC figures when the (Jerry Springer) musical was screened on BBC Two last month. Some people on the list received calls threatening them with bloodshed.

Last week, a cancer charity turned down a £3,000 donation from the show after Christian Voice threatened to picket its clinics if it accepted “tainted” money from the show.

Mr Green, 53, told The Times last night that his next target is abortion clinics. “The taking of innocent blood brings judgment on our land and cries to Heaven for vengeance,” he said.

Mr Green is married, has four grown-up children and lives on a smallholding in Carmarthen, South Wales. He claims that Hindus are wicked and said: “We would like to reach out to Muslims and tell them they cannot find salvation in a dead Prophet.”

Green: “With all the hate mail I have been getting, I am obviously rattling Satan’s cage.”

John Cryer, the Labour MP for Hornchurch, is composing a written statement to the House calling for Charles Clarke to investigate Christian Voice. “They will be targeting women who are already in a vulnerable state, nervous and afraid with all sorts of problems, and making their lives even worse,” he said.

In America clinics have been firebombed and since 1991 three doctors and four members of clinic staff have been murdered. Neal Horsley, the American anti-abortionist and Presbyterian minister, who posted photographs of murdered abortion doctors on the web with a red line through their faces, told The Times that he has links with groups in Britain, but refused to name them.

these people really piss me off. They all believe thay are the ultimate voice of reason when they quite frankly are not.

I have oftern heard it said that "to get the truth of the bibles teaching it must all be taken into account" however these people often dont, they focus on one part or specific quotes.

I am fine with what people beieve but i feel it socially unacceptable for one to force a view onto anothr which i believe these people are doing.

A boycot when one group disagrees with the views of another is 100% fair in my opinion, they are affecting their direct relations with the company. My iuniversity has a campus wide boycott on nestle for their milk sales in the 3rd world.

I find it sickening when they thbreaten a charity which needs the money to help people has to say no to a generous offer because of the threats these people make. Thay dont want to discriminate they are just tring to make the world a better place. Is that not something we all want, extreamist christian or not?

Should a lung cancer awareness charity accept donations from a cigarette manufacturer that is trying to improve its public image?

Should Greenpeace accept donations from a company that has a very bad environmental record?

Maybe? Maybe not?

Sometimes it probably is better not to take 'tainted' money. These organisations need to appear impartial and unbiased if they are going to sway public opinion to their cause and change society.

Fwiw though, I agree that these seem to be whacky religious groups that are a waste of space.

those are issues that are directly related to that charity though, in this case homosexuality and cancer have to our current knowledge (and nothing will change) no links whatsoever.

Note how you only really hear about "islamic extreamists" whereas "christian extreamists" go relitivly unheard of.
