eggu Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 when i put continuum on, choose a zone and press play, it says:"player database is offline. you can still play, but your scores wont be saved"! what does this mean???doeas it affect my gameplay in any other way ecxpect "but your scores wont be saved" als0 when i play at school, there are about players at metalgear CTF. and when i get homw and start plying theres about 4-6 plyers! it really sucks. any help???
»Maverick Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 When the "player database" is offline (aka - the SSC biller) it won't change anything from you except for: 1) Your scores won't be saved, when the "player database" is back online you will have your old score when you log in again. 2) Your name might be different since you can't login to your normal name - this is a security measure. In SSC I believe you will have a ^ in front of your name when the database is offline. Nobody can change how much people are playing metalgear CTF at a time. Check http://stats.17thparallel.com/index.php?a=zone&id=141 for an overview of when the zone has the most players. (Time = time from washington, GMT-4)
»SOS Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 And it will just fix itself. Don't worry, it sometimes happens.
BDwinsAlt Posted June 22, 2005 Report Posted June 22, 2005 Yeah when the zone disconnects from the biller usually trying a *recycle will make it re-connect. Otherwise wait and it will reconnect automatically. But if your impatient like me, *recycle rocks Im so late on this post.
»Maverick Posted June 22, 2005 Report Posted June 22, 2005 *recycle won't help you a bit. It will only restart the server. When the biller is back online the server will reconnect automatically to the biller.
BG Posted June 28, 2005 Report Posted June 28, 2005 MG Changed servers a while back... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v250/BattleshipGalaxy/switchserver.png That would be why you are seeing only 4 or 5 players.
