»SOS Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 Something is wrong with the user permissions in the Continuum directory. Did you install as the same user you are playing as?Try manually deleting the Continuum directory and recreating it.Check the permissions that apply to the "zones" folder. Maybe sonmething weird is there. What rights does the user have?It could also be caused if you installed into a super-super long path.

Guest Guest Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 also ctm wont load if i click on it...i got to go as "run as"
»SOS Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 Well, if you "run as" then that's the problem. "Run as" is not a supported mode of running Continuum and it is not meant to work. Try some other way to get it showing up.
Kameloh Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 If you right click on Continuum and "Run As" as a user WITH a password, it'll run. That is also a way to spawn multiple continuums on one computer (just one of the many hacks I know about continuum ) to enter several zones at once or put them all in one single zone. And, if you're smart enough, you can make all running continuums to follow 1 continuum's flight movement. (like, making all ships move forward if you press your speed up button). It's pretty useful when testing settings by yourself and you want something to run away while you're shooting at it
»Maverick Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 It will run with Run As... mode but Windows XP will prevent any saving to the harddisk. For most times this will cause problems since Continuum will try to download, save and load a map from the harddisk once you are entering a zone. Also, other weird errors and crashes may occur with this mode. This is the problem the guest is having. I'd recommend to not use this mode.
