I've always wanted a program to record Continuum with. Recently i downloaded a clip from Trench Wars but i havent had the chance to speak with the creator. And the recorder that was made for Subspace never worked for me back in the day :D Got any tips?

Nah, sure you can, pretty easily.

Camtasia was one such program, I think. There are more - your best friend google would probably give you some if you search for "screen recorder" or something like that.

I tried ACA Screen Recorder, and some others, but when you record it, it shows it fine. But when you playback, it just comes up with bits of the screen within the game flickering repeatly. :S

I had a dream last night that the readme file that came with continuum had a list of programs at the bottom that Priit recommended for recording the game, but I just checked and it isn't there :D

It sucks FPS like crazy.

My normal FPS is like , 108 , With a screen capture it went down to like 14 - 18.

Try a lower resolution and color depth. Also some codecs take longer to compress so experimenting with different ones might help, but that depends on how the screen capture program works.

Of course it goes down - it takes lots of CPU power to do this.

I recommend using the Huffyuv video codec - this makes huge files but with very little CPU usage. Afterwards, you can convert them over to another codec with VirtualDub.
