Um. Gravity? No, not the kind of gravity that goes X/Z, but Y gravity! You know, add weights to certain ships and so on and if they let go of thrust, they're going to slow down!

 

Like.. infantry. I guess.

 

How about several layers of maps?

 

How about.. tiles on the maps that can activate things:

Multiple squad leaders?

Subdivisions in squads? (maybe with a captain for each, all under one leader)

better #chat system... make it a nice little colour... like... poiple.

I don't have much experience with websites so I modified a news script to allow people to register themselves. Comments can be made anonymously and registering protects your name from being misused. An ideal suggestion page would also have a rating on each suggestion much like http://quotes.ssforum.net/ but unfortunately everyone has a lazy streak. I'm am more than sure there are people around that are capable of making (or -cough- donating) such a system .

How about.. weaponry that can slow down opponents?

 

Example: Super Mega Stun Gun G14 Extreme.. X, shoots it's laserbeam of doom and immobolizes a certain player in their place. Like...

How about missiles, damage dependant on speed of collision, missiles could have customisable (in server settings) acceleration, up to a max speed

heatseeking mines.... when you get close to them they start going your way... with a certain acceleration and top speed, also dependant on the distance between you and the mine ; if u move away from it before it catches you, the mine just stops there and waits for another opponent....

 

tractor beam ô.o ...... kinda like a negative repel... but.... cooler i guess... would work in only 1 direction..... .........

 

escape pods! .... woot....... then you tractor up your friend's pods to let them respawn.... or you have to drop them somewhere ... and meanwhile they can be a turret... or something like that...

 

cargo bays! get stuff in cargo... could be... probes... (woot, each idea i get gives me another one) or you could store some spare batteries to have a quick recharge rate for a limited time... drop unwanted cargo... maybe trade cargo ... a teamate could tractor in a cargo you droped. The more cargo you have onboard, the slower you are....

 

Probes! you drop them, and they provide X-radar cover for all the team in a certain radius...... could also make each ship's x-radar radius different.......for example, one ship could have a very short range xradar... it would see cloakers when they are at XXX pixels or nearer from them. Probes could be destroyable... have a certain energy / recharge rate..... maybe some basic weaponry.......

 

Turrets that you drop and they shoot stuff... kinda like shooting bots..... you could mount / unmount them and have them in cargo bays... they could defend Probes.....

 

...... oh well i gotta go now.. enough of these.. wee

Manually controlled turrets, maybe emplacements on a space station?

 

I.E. It has L3 bombs (or whatever the !@#$%^&* the strong weapons will be) but has to be controlled by a human?

 

Also, cloaked mines would be pretty awesome, in a lame kind of way.

 

Maybe Cloaked mine = Takes 2x energy of normal mine, and has a constant drain on your ship until it explodes? ( The mine, or your ship )

 

 

Also, Manually exploding bombs would be cool, so like, if you miss, you can use a small amount of energy to make it explode and not be a completely worthless shot.

what about having your friends list right on the main menu so you can see where your friends are at / or on / and also a lil side chat on it so when u doulbe click there name you PM them what you want. also so you can have groups like for your squard, your favortie zone. That would be pretty neat.

maybe it has been said before... specific turret emplacements on ship... for huge ships that can hold multiple turrets, you could board the ship at different points (side turrets, tailgunner, etc.) ... maybe limit the firing angle of each turret...

 

allow friendly fire (guns FF on/off , bombs FF on/off , friendly splash damage on/off)

 

......wow...... if 'every' thing in here could be done (ok... maybe not 'every'thing... but at least the good ideas blum.gif ) it would allow ALOT of customized gameplay... but have to keep in mind it cannot be too complex... i.e., you can't just add 135 other new weapons... have to keep the controls usable...

 

one way to use multiple weapons without using 14516 different key bindings would be to have 1 or 2 'secondary' weapons bays, and toggle the available weapons into them. Actually... they would be '3rd' weapon....... since primary=guns, secondary=bombs

 

as for allowing 3d ships... i'm not sure... this would require a 3d engine.......... it would be great to have something to convert 3d models into ship#.bm2 and ##roll.bm2 though... but the game would only use bitmaps directly (or png's, whatever)

 

 

a simple cool add-on:

instead of having only a yellow dot to represent yourself on radar, make it a small arrow... piloting while checking only radar would be easier, the enemies could also be represented by arrows... this arrow graphic would be, of course, customizable :unsure:

Ok first of all...

 

1.Auto-Reconnect

2.*getfile to certian directory

3.Owners.txt

 

Ok 1.

 

When you get disconnected from a zone or if u go afk and the zone goes down you can re-connect.

 

2.When you want to save a map to a certian place like ur desktop you can type *getfile map.lvl c:\windows\desktop\

 

3.When a noob sysop tries to *sysop u and then shut u up or ban u from ur zone or ur friends zone...if ur on owner.txt sysop can't *sysop you, *shutup *kill or *getfile owners.txt or anything like that. Just something that would keep zone owners COMPLETELY in control.

-what about a tracer where a specal button you press you shoott a lil tracker on a ship and you can see that ship no matter what radars are on intill you die or ship you tracked died (good for baseing).

-up to 10 floors of maps ( u could use warp and some other thing to deirect it to other .lvl) so like a base could be a couple floors lol

-alot more custumizeing....because thats what the game is rele all about.. make so many more things your can do in settings cuz thats what we play by. we need that the most perfect.

....thats it for now....
