Just post any improvements you want to the game here. I remember the old-old-old messageboard had lots of this but nothing like this is on ssforum, unfortunately. So have at it, post every idea you've ever had for this game.

 

Anything from pink elephants to radar scanners to heat-seeking bullets.

Something like a 'single-player' mode, that would allow you to test/work on settings, among other things, without setting up a server.

 

EDIT: What's the point of posting twice?

 

 

How about a decoy that can destroy mines?

 

I was also thinking of a simpler settings interface, (for those of us not used to the current one), with subdirectories, I.E. \ships\ship1\(all of ship 1's settings here) so you can quickly edit a ship without scrolling through.

 

(Note: Someone expressed that they liked the current interface, so maybe an option to turn on/off simplified settings?)

Different Weapon Damages for all ships.

 

Different Item Uses for All ships (ex: Warbird has a faster/longer repel than a Javelin)

 

Custom Weapon Graphics for each ship. (ex: Ship1's lv1 bullets are knives.. ship2's lv1 bullets are cookies)

 

Customizable Staff Commands (like ASSS)

 

Sysop-in-an-arena fix. Problem: If you give someone sysop for a certain arena, they'll still be able to use their sysop powers in other arenas if they just do ?go and are able to edit other maps, etc.

 

Walls that can slow down a weapon. Bounce 1 = [number]% decreased speed.

 

Greater objects shown at a time. (Think DBZ zone having problems when so many people are using guns)

 

MP3/MIDI Support

 

More GUN/BOMB LEVELS!

 

Attach Limits

 

SHIP UPGRADES: Graphics, Weapons, etc. If you buy Omega Shields for the front of your ship, the graphics will change accordingly. Same goes to weapons (such as a beam-bazooka or an ion-cannon)

 

SECONDARY TURRET: Using your mouse, you can get a secondary (Smaller) turret that can shoot in the direction you click.

For the sysop thingy, if you use ASSS that's not an issue because players are authorized every time they enter an arena, and (internally) dropped out of the group when they leave. Plus, staff is completely customizable for all commands and permissions.

 

Also, what do you mean by attach limits?

The ability to choose the number of bounces on bullets as well as bombs. Also 45 degree angles that actually reflect like they should. For that matter I'd like to see other geometry as well. Something simple like 30,45,60 degree walls with proper reflection properties.

 

I also thought about having a stationary "ship" that you could embed into walls, sort of as a turret to protect flagging bases and such.

autopilot ô.O ... like.. set autopilot toward safety zone when you have to go afk right away... autopilot wouldn't evade weapons tho.. (well.. maybe mines) and would be pretty easy to kill ô.O

Ablility to be killed by your own bombs

 

.gif transparency and semitransparency for tiles

 

full stop ability (slow down as normal buy be albe to completly stop)

 

ammo (limit in the number of bullets and bombs you can carry)

 

Self Distruct (blow yoursef up and take nme with you if your desperate)

 

An external way to see if a player has shields (just a spinning shild symbol by their name or (harder) around the ship)

 

Homing missiles

 

Settings for specific greens in specific locations (may be usefull for a sone with an ammo shop, energy charger e.t.c)

 

Mod command to send a player to an arena (handy for bots in the wrong place or a player entering an arena they shouldnt be)

Amen to what Kame said about all the customizable ship values. Like instead of having 3 bullet levels, let each ships bullets be totally independent.

 

Make an option that enables you to switch ships without respawning (in infantry zones it can be used to "switch gun" while maintaining the same character)

-good idea...but if they do they need to lose like a bomb fire for gun....and you even out what your ship could have.......if you didnt lose anything to switch thogh we would have super ships that would own like crazy...let it make you think what upgrades you want the more u have the slower you go make alot more side effect..

I.E. it does no damage to a ship, but it can take a ships repel, decoy, etc. , and it can also drain shields faster than bullets and bombs, and missiles, or whatever.

Afterburner fuel, Weapon energy

 

yeh that would add ALOT of customizing possibilities... just need an option to enable 'linking' two or more of those energies for those who want to use them normally..

lol yeah you have to fuel your ship lol

 

- bullets that go though walls...

- snipers scope

-feed back

-able to jump but takes energy....(so u can jump over a mine or bullet..

-make it so you can use a headset (instead of ts you can just have it on it)

you can make the settings do that already...

 

just make no recharge pretty much...

but you cant leave the zone intill you have full engery :/

is that what you want

cuz they also have a bot command for that where you just go to spec then you can leave the zone but that
