The Apache Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 Do you relise how !@#$%^&*ing hard that would be to implement ideas like that into the game and still play mulitplayer online?
Samapico Posted March 27, 2006 Report Posted March 27, 2006 heatseekers and countermeasures would definitly be awesome...
»D1st0rt Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 Hard to retrofit into subgame definately, ASSS probably, but a completely new server/client setup? A bit simpler.
The Apache Posted March 28, 2006 Report Posted March 28, 2006 I don't think SOS is even working on this project anymore.
»SOS Posted March 28, 2006 Author Report Posted March 28, 2006 This topic is about Continuum improvements, not any of my projects
Witchie NL Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 lol but SOS are you going on with continuum 2 or not? but the nightvision !@#$%^&* is not realy hard to build just prob will couse some lag coz you just need to rebuild all the other graphix to nightvision... (check the attachment done in 5 sec's) not perfect but comes close to usable... just implent it as ships2.bm2 and let it switch on and turn the old graphic off with (for example) ctrl+n...no idea of how conti is build so duno if that is hard but i dont think it is...
Smong Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 Night vision is boring, heat vision is much more interesting to code and for the player. For example some ships could run cooler, and the exhaust would show when they are accelerating, etc.http://www.411images.com/images/games/scre...s2/MGS3_022.jpg
Witchie NL Posted April 7, 2006 Report Posted April 7, 2006 yeah such a thing would look cool... i got another sugestion...Now you only have 7 chats which you can talk in and the others you can just listen in.Rebuild the chatsystem that when you want to set your chats you need to do something like this: ?chat=1:chat1 2:chat2 3:chat3 4:chat4 if imposible edit the ' ' for ',' and that you can talk in a max of 20 chats and chat 20 and higher is just listening.. Also needs to be edit the thing when you typ ?chat that it shows this: 1: -Chat1-: Players2: -Chat2-: Players2: -Chat2-: Some more players3: -Chat3-: Players And so on... And a sort of friendlist would also be cool... (declear the friendlist in a .dat file and then let that datfile be opened in F1 help at the end of the zonedecleared help..)
Samapico Posted April 7, 2006 Report Posted April 7, 2006 ?addchat chatname?removechat chatnumber instead of ?chat=typethewhole!@#$%^&*listofallthechatsagainandagainandyoumakeamistakeandhavetotypethemagainihatethat
»D1st0rt Posted April 8, 2006 Report Posted April 8, 2006 samapico, just use edit chats (ctrl-h) in alt tabbed
»SOS Posted April 8, 2006 Author Report Posted April 8, 2006 True, but switching to chat window just do edit chats is quite unacceptably unusable to me.
Witchie NL Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 i also got another sugestion which is more developing for the serverclient.. dont link all the settings to eachother like: if you set buletdamage on 100 that is used at all ships. just make that setting difrent for each ship... will make much more complicated zones
ThunderJam Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 1) Make a ?setlevel-like command for loading lvz's. This way a arena owner can load stuff exclusively for their arena besides just a map. 2) Make bomb damage levels customizable 3) Make options for a ship always to start with prox, similar to Stealthstatus and Cloakstatus. This way some ships can always have prox, while others never do. Same for bouncing bullets and multifire.
Witchie NL Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 1) Make a ?setlevel-like command for loading lvz's. This way a arena owner can load stuff exclusively for their arena besides just a map. i say use ?set Misc:Levelfiles= 2) Make bomb damage levels customizable i say also customize that for bulets 3) Make options for a ship always to start with prox, similar to Stealthstatus and Cloakstatus. This way some ships can always have prox, while others never do. Same for bouncing bullets and multifire. i say also do that for the rest of the greens and prizes
»D1st0rt Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 i say use ?set Misc:Levelfiles=I'm pretty sure he meant have the command upload the file like it does with maps for arena owners.
ThunderJam Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Yea i meant what distort said. About bullet/bombs, bullets already got bulletlevelupgrade or watever its called, bombs dont, they only upgrade prox. For the rest of the greens...rotation,thrust,speed,nrgy you can all set with initial/max values. bullet, bombs, and items you set with initial/max values. stealth, cloak, radar you got status. I cant think of any other greens that what i said would apply too...
Bak Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 every command can be customized for both global and per-arena permissions in ASSS servers, and you could even make a ?putlvl command if you needed one
»D1st0rt Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 There already is, we used it for arena owners in HS
Brighter Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 The next version of Continumm needs to support GamePanel Technology. GamePanel technology is fairly new, but it is a pretty cool thing that the Logitech G15 keyboard is compatible with. Check out the specs for the Logitech G15 Keyboard at www.logitech.com
Killerbot NL Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 I don't know if someone has already suggested this, but it would be usefull to own chats, be able to kick players from it, and such.kinda like.. owning squads. and also, having like 2 squadowners, or diff access levels on the squadthingey,1. Owner, can do everything, disolve blabla.2. Trustee, changep!@#$%^&*word, kick players.3. Players, nothin' =)
»D1st0rt Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 Those are biller-level changes and are already implemented on some non-SSC billers.
»SOS Posted May 8, 2006 Author Report Posted May 8, 2006 In other words, good suggestions d1: Non-SSC is not Continuum as far as the real world cares. And if someone says "I want X" and X already exists, it means X is !@#$%^&* and should be better usable since it can't even be found. You should never say "Well, you already have X, so wha?". If you didn't, sorry - that's the vibe I got from your post
Killerbot NL Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 So, what are you going to do with all these ideas?
