Guest fudge_packer23 Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 it's been a few months since i've been playing... i can get into the game, but the screen flickers and i can't see half of the monitor when i'm playing... i've uninstalled and installed several times, but it's the same thing... how can i fix this?
»SOS Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 Try toggling the "Avoid Page Filpping" checkbox under advanced options. If that does not do it, also try "Software Emulation" in the same place.

»SOS Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 Well, software emulation does make the screen very slow. Try some of the other options in the lower area of the advanced box. Or try updating your drivers & DirectX.
»Maverick Posted May 13, 2005 Report Posted May 13, 2005 also check on display properties whether your screen / display adapter is set higher then 60 hz . Else the screen would be flickering and you will get headache from it over time.
Bajan Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 keep game colours at 256 (8bit) if not already, anything higher is not required, this will greatly improve your frame rate.
