ThunderJam Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 Last year i owned a zone called SSZ Paintball CTF, which averaged around 20 population. I eventually closed the zone because it was suffering due to some settings. Now, i have remade it in SSU TJ Development (still up so u can see it) zone with all new tiles graphics, and made better setts. This time its gonna be called Paintball Reloaded, but i would really like for it to be on a server with ssc billing. Help anyone?
The Apache Posted April 26, 2005 Report Posted April 26, 2005 maybe some screenshots, more information. how about getting on a proper server like SSU or SSR (in other words, open it up to the public) is the zone actually finished?

Paine Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 Ignore him, no-one likes him and he keeps spamming me on MSN.
The Apache Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 i can ask questions on here you know. or state things. paine - nobody likes me? um, I dont tend to make "friends" on the internet. i dont know them properly, never met them, so why would i give a !@#$%^&*?
ThunderJam Posted April 29, 2005 Author Report Posted April 29, 2005 Ummm street soldier... -its on ssu (open to public but named a dev zone)-i said i have remade it (not am remaking it) = its done-screenshots: i told you where you could see it and didnt you play at SSZ Paintball CTF?
»Maverick Posted April 30, 2005 Report Posted April 30, 2005 ThunderJam, notice that (almost) nobody of the SSC council checks this forum. Even if they do they won't reply because you have to ask them instead of asking in general. You have to ask / know the right people - even if you do, you need a stable zone with stable population. In the end, asking here for SSC is quite pointless - especially for new zones (with no population to speak of)

If you want to get on SSC, make a good enough zone so they offer you a spot.
ThunderJam Posted May 1, 2005 Author Report Posted May 1, 2005 especially for new zones (with no population to speak of) Mmmm, i hate that side of ssc. When this was a zone on SSZ with population of 30 they wouldnt take me...

The SSC server operators decide that, the council only decides who can host an SSC server. No offense but there are a ton of Infantry zones on SSC now, there is no need for another one. Why don't you try a zone idea that isn't exactly like the 5 other zones already doing it.
ThunderJam Posted May 2, 2005 Author Report Posted May 2, 2005 I hate you, I hate DS.Hmm, dont know what that is about. The council doesn't decide what zones are to be hosted on SSC. The SSC server operators decide that, the council only decides who can host an SSC server.yea i know, i asked the people who owned server on ssc billing to be hosted. When i had good pop, they even denied me. No offense but there are a ton of Infantry zones on SSC now, there is no need for another one. Why don't you try a zone idea that isn't exactly like the 5 other zones already doing it.too bad my zone isnt infantry...
Paine Posted May 2, 2005 Report Posted May 2, 2005 How the !@#$%^&* can you have paintball without people?
ThunderJam Posted May 3, 2005 Author Report Posted May 3, 2005 1st definition of infantry according to dictionary.com : "The branch of an army made up of units trained to fight on foot. " it doesnt just refer to people, its in the military.
Agurus Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 Mainly on SSCC, SVS (and one on SSCI?) infantry zone hosted. Also TJ you claim your zone had 30+ or w/e on SSZ months ago before it died. And if you want to grab SSC attention i advise you open PB on SSU, and see where it goes. Don't depend SSC to get you pop. it will get you no where.
HUFF Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 How the !@#$%^&* can you have paintball without people?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> space monkeys with paintball guns
»Swift Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 How about the council decide and ghost ship will set up the slot for access if they get on an ssc server first off. If they can get approval to be on an SSC slot then and only then will the decision be made on approving or disapproving the option of letting them on ssc. Instead of downtalking the issue how about supporting it
»Platinum-Halo Posted May 9, 2005 Report Posted May 9, 2005 I kinda know how this thing works lol Swift your partly correct. What happens is you would be approached about being given SSC BIlling access. To get the attention of the people that are going to offer you this chance it is recommended that the zone is unique, has a good population around the clock, good staff settings tilset/map, bots etc. Well that's my 2 cents worth.-Plat
SVS Posted May 9, 2005 Report Posted May 9, 2005 The only likely way a zone will get on SSC billing is if an SSC host with available billing slots offers to host the zone. The council does not approve individual zones being added at least not usually.
ThunderJam Posted May 9, 2005 Author Report Posted May 9, 2005 To get the attention of the people that are going to offer you this chance it is recommended that the zone is unique, has a good population around the clock, good staff settings tilset/map, bots etc Unique - no other paintball zone on ssPopulation - had 20 average on sszStaff settings? tileset - is nicemap - nicebots ... a 4 (from 1-5, 5 being good) See I had a ssz slot reserved for my remake of Paintball CTF, then SSZ closed. Now all the non-ssc billed servers r crappy, lol.
»Platinum-Halo Posted May 10, 2005 Report Posted May 10, 2005 Sorry but it's not what you've had in the past it's what you have now... And SVS is right they just approve the servers not the slots (aka zones)-Plat
