EdTheInvincible Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 maybe your zone folders are READ ONLY or you DONT HAVE THE RIGHTS TO ACCESS THEM.why not ask on forumhq.net? Quote
klawsraught Posted March 20, 2005 Author Report Posted March 20, 2005 i wasnt aware of that possibility..however the files arent on read only Quote
klawsraught Posted March 20, 2005 Author Report Posted March 20, 2005 ok.. perhaps i was wrongive tried to take off "read only" but everytime i do so..it resets back to read only.. what can i do? Quote
EdTheInvincible Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 try erasing the zone folder then downloading again Quote
klawsraught Posted March 20, 2005 Author Report Posted March 20, 2005 one other thing.. my entire folder is stuck on read only.. Quote
Bajan Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 if your seeing a box and not a tick in the read-only box, under windows xp i assume? thats normal, just trying to confuse you, its a global permissions thing. i've had this issue in the past.., like Ed has suggested, try remove the contents of at least the Powerball folder and re-entering Quote
candygirl Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 If you cant delete the folder. reboot your pc into safe mode. Then try to delete it after doing so just reboot that will put you back into normal mode. Quote

At least make sure you have administrator privilidges, try removing the read-only attribute. Also, make sure you don't run the game with "Run As..." option. (Gives this same problem) Other solutions might be scandisking the HD for corrupt sections. Quote
Coster Mila Posted March 24, 2005 Report Posted March 24, 2005 i had similar problem with logfiles. Turned out that i didn't (for some reason) have access to write to the \logs directory. you might want to look over your file-permissions. Quote
