I've tried ALOT of things. It does it on my old computer too so im thinking it has something to do with the internet thingy. My internet works fine, like i can go on the web and do what i need to do no problem, but its just continuum. and usually it says WARNING: Disconnected from Server (No Data). HELP is GREATLY appreciated. thanks alot-wamp Quote

Dav Posted February 5, 2005 Report Posted February 5, 2005 you seem to be having high packet loss, you on an router or network? Quote
wamp Posted February 5, 2005 Author Report Posted February 5, 2005 This confuses me, it just randomly started doing this like a month ago. oh and im not on a router. What would network be Quote
Yzen Posted February 5, 2005 Report Posted February 5, 2005 if you are using pr3 then revert back to pr1. that should solve your problem if indeed you recently switched to pr3 Quote
wamp Posted February 5, 2005 Author Report Posted February 5, 2005 bare with me im only 14, dunno what that means broverify Quote
Yzen Posted February 6, 2005 Report Posted February 6, 2005 if you downloaded pr3 (continuum prerelease 3) recently to play some zones like powerball, other zones still are not fully acclimated to support it. therefore i suggest that you download continuum prerelease 1 (pr1) again and reinstall it if double clicking the old icon doesnt work. Quote
Guest Guest Posted February 6, 2005 Report Posted February 6, 2005 well i got .39 prerelease on this comp, but on my other comp i have .38 and it disconnects me no matter which comp I use Quote
wamp Posted February 6, 2005 Author Report Posted February 6, 2005 that post was by me, and i have .39 prerelease 1 if that makes any difference Quote
Yzen Posted February 6, 2005 Report Posted February 6, 2005 Google these if you dont have them and check out your box. Additionally, it would be a good practice to not post your ip address with your trace log. »Maverick Posted February 6, 2005 Report Posted February 6, 2005 I never heard about spyware or virusses hogging the internet connection... - Do you have a firewall (on) ?- What ISP do you have? I assume this is a problem with your ISP, but it might aswell be a firewall closing the connection when it thinks its attacked. Quote
wamp Posted February 6, 2005 Author Report Posted February 6, 2005 The only firewall i got is the windows one, and I made an exception for continuum(didn't work) so i tried disabling it(didn't work) and comcast is my isp and no, I don't have any viruses, like i said, it does it on both of my comps. what would be the chances of them having the EXACT same problem Quote
Dav Posted February 6, 2005 Report Posted February 6, 2005 Hop: 8 IP: 12.125.39.77 Hostname: gbr1-p70.cb1ma.ip.att.net Ploss: 13.7 Ping Min Ave Max: 0 10 20 This line seems to tell the story, the ping times (how long it takes your computer to send information to the zone) are ok but it looks like the packetloss (loss of information on the way) is quite high. To answer the network question. Do you have more then one computer on the internet at the same time? Quote
Dav Posted February 7, 2005 Report Posted February 7, 2005 sounds to me like its just a laggy route to the server, unfortunatly not a lot can be done untill things sort themselves out. If anyone has anyother ideas on what it can be they will post and suggest further courses of action. Quote
wamp Posted February 8, 2005 Author Report Posted February 8, 2005 ok, thanks for trying guys. I appreciate it Quote
Dav Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 just out of interest does it happen with SSCU or SSCC zones? Quote
Chambahs Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 contact your ISP...they should help... Quote
»Maverick Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 yup ISP problems... unless "gbr1-p70.cb1ma.ip.att.net" is a router anywhere near you but I doubt that because it got your ISP domain Quote
Guest Measure76 Posted March 19, 2005 Report Posted March 19, 2005 I'm having the same problem on a comcast connection. I can play for several minutes, then data stops coming from the server. My trace looks pretty bad, but I don't think I have access to the server that is causing the problem.
