I'm still making changes upon peoples requests... so play it for a lil while and tell me what you think ?go jokerbeta I think this map will not only save 17th Parallel but will also bring a pub league like atmosphere into it.... No more going half a mile to get to a base , and tons of lil camping spots...Plus flags are now in the middle of the arena.., Anyways please give it a try and tell me what you think... The centre has to be my favorite part of it, but it only needs 4 flags, one in each corner. The bases are a little cramped, i think if the tunnels were a little wider and there were some larger more open spaces it'd be even better. Quote

The centre... it's large and it's empty, no problem I suppose -but- I would like to see some scattering of asteroids around there. Just empty space is a lil on the boring side and small asteroids add something to the fight rather than something to hide behind. I believe we talked about this on the other thread. Everything else isn't bit, bit snazzy really - although not sure about the long route in left base. Seems as if it would be unused. Quote

This map will promote that... It's small, but plenty big enough for 17th... 15 people per team. People will actually learn how to base, and people can camp in bases now instead of having like one person inside base while the rest are outside somewhere mindlessly running around... Sever I like your idea about making more space but I put that many flags there for a purpose, 1 flag doesn't look as tempting to go all the way to the four corners to get as say 5 would... I also want to have a pretty hard map to get around in, I don't care if the tunnels are narrow, if you play it enough then you'll get use to it... but it makes people work at it more then say giving them a handicap tunnel... I mean would you like to play a rpg (role playing game) that you can beat in a hour or takes you a month? Plus it'll only take you so long to get from one side to the other, I want it sort of difficult to get through the bases... My ship settings I find perfect for 17th, a lil bit of the new mixed with my version of a few ships, noob and vet freindly, but I made some changes to a few of them, which will make them a more user freindly ship, while at the same time giving the people a chance to become skillful at them... Seems as if it would be unused.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> For one I'm trying to not add rocks in the map, second I want a big empty center, it'll have a score graphic in the middle of it, but you can fly through it. when you have 20-30+ people on the map all warping near each other, it wont look as empty as you think it does.... Plus, take all the emptyness of the original pub map, mine doesn't even half as much empty space as it does, so I'm trying to make up for it somehow... Anyways, if others say they want rocks, I'll add them I guess, but for now, most like it empty so I'm keeping it empty... And trsut me the long route in the left base will get used if the person cant get in the short way... Each base has a long route, there both just about the same amount of length to the goal... Actually if I'm not mistaken, the right bases other side route is actually the one that is a bit longer then the left bases... Thats why they make waiting lines at theme parks zig zag like, to make it seem shorter then it actually is... Joker Quote

Although it's... interesting it does seem almost useless but if it does't affect the drain or fire suppose it's not that bad a add on. 2) Levi bullets are fun, it's quite fast which suprises me - in a way that's better. The bombs are... well overall this is a different levi to any experianced in 17th 3) Small weasel... I don't think this, never have, never will. Terrible ship. I prefer the current one in pub to that. Quote
Stylez Posted January 19, 2005 Author Report Posted January 19, 2005 Changed map, a bit bigger and less flags, with rocks in the middle and more space in bases... the spider has the backwards shot so if it gets into a tunnel fight and has no more bursts it can ward off enemys from directions... I love my levi I dont like the weasel either, but a lot of people do, so we'll keep it for now... Joker Quote

Thus the map and settings have been tweaked... A bit larger, less flags (but still in the same places), rocks put around the map, bases have more space in them, center has more space... Ships tweaked... WB) same ole wbJav) has a new single bounce bomb now, making the bomb actually usful, some what....Spider) has a backwards shot "to ward off people when trapped", and a lil more energy...Levi) fast lil bullets, strong bombs, but take a bit of nrg to use and when shot make you have a delay on fire, can also use x radar and anti but take nrg fast...Terr> Same terrWeasel> lil buggerLancaster> gave it a rocketshark> was thinkin of givin it 8 blue emp mines and yellow bullets.. but its the same from before..
