I like this new map (excet for the easy access tubes). It's had a side consiquence of nerfing what little power the spider had. Before a spider could hold the two rooms with the passage to the goal. Now the rooms are opened up and spider's prey can easily escape bursts. Spider is definately the weakest ship, but it always had a place on the team. Now with the wide open base access i find it's easier to guard bases/stop goals with a warbird or a lanc.

 

Something needs to be done. As it is now I don't like playing the spider anymore.

i haven't played the new map, but i never really found i needed bursts all that much in spider (unless fighting lanc). with cloaking, then the emp bomb->guns and 3 ports, i find it pretty easy to get kills in spider without bursting...
