CANT CONNECT (proxy settings?) Please Help..

i hope someone out there is able to help me out with this one

i am behind a firewalled connection. the only thing it lets through is internet explorer and msn messenger traffic. so only ports mega_shok.gif and 1080 are open.. to byp!@#$%^&* it (example, to be able to use Kazaa), i use a tunneling program acting like a proxy and letting all traffic through..

..ok now my problem: i need to byp!@#$%^&* my firewall to play continuum. so i need to enable SOCK5 proxy server in the game. when i fill in: proxy:127.0.0.1 port:1080 (just like in kazaa), while i let my tunnelling software run (Your Freedom.exe), it still wont connect. it wont even let me download the server list

the thing is that, i do get an open stream in my tunnel program. but the remote address is: 0.0.0.0. when i look in my own personal firewall it also said continuum is connected to 0.0.0.0. is that correct? do you guys get the same? ofcourse i turned my own firewall off and used the proper servers in the game to try get the zone list already

so my question is:

how do i set up the proxy to be able to play? :(

when i use the ssproxy(5) i get this:

Server Port: 2000

Server IP: 63.198.238.58

SSproxy BUILD 5 - Ready to rock on port 15000!

ofcourse ports 2000 and/or 15000 are blocked!!! BUT, there is a freeware program called fpipe: ww.foundstone.com/resources/proddesc/fpipe.htm fpipe lets you redirect ports..

FPipe [-hvu?] [-lrs ] [-i IP] IP

-c - maximum allowed simultaneous TCP connections. Default is 32

-i - listening interface IP address

-l - listening port number

-r - remote port number

-s - outbound source port number

-u - UDP mode

-v - verbose mode

the program gives this example:

fpipe -l 53 -s 53 -r mega_shok.gif 192.168.1.101

This would set the program to listen for connections on port 53 and when a local connection is detected a further connection will be made to port mega_shok.gif of the remote machine at 192.168.1.101 with the source port for that outbound connection being set to 53 also. Data sent to and from the connected machines will be passed through.

so... how do i configure fpipe to use with ssproxy? i tried different settings but i cant figure the correct one out. im sure i should work.. it must work.. it MuSt!!! blum.gif please help. not just me, but for ALL users behind firewalled connections globally. and thats Alot of people.. thnx

The SS proxy stuff is useless. It lets you connect to port whateveritwas but then it redirects that to the normal port, I believe.

However, tell me more about your original tunneling program. So one end is port 1080 on your computer but where does it connect to?
