There probably a few i can think of.. Laming with a spider is harder in that "open" area near the tube....

 

Or is it that its harder to tube the ball and take a weasel through it?

Gives the enemy an equal chance of destroying the heavy armed tubing levis.

 

May be harder for a spider to get an easy kill there because the area is more open now.. easier to move around... I dont plan on changing it back to a solid tube.

Colours I agree with - nice change

 

I actually prefer the tunnels - they need slight tweaking but the open-ness is good. It leads to different approaches now. Where as before the approach of an enemy or how a spider worked was so completly obvious, this now leads to a more challenging base game in the front half I feel - a place where before people didn't wander because of the obvious death traps.

thats exactly why i changed it how i did.. because of the obvious death trap... IT IS still a death trap in a sense.. just you have a better chance of survival due to the opening of the tube and sides of the small "bunkers" Also I'd like to add that the far outer entrance is a good way to take the ball to fool the enemy.. however that area is also somewhat of a spider heaven due to its small tube area. Overall it evens out and you get more ways of attacking and defending the base

I love the new changes except now that those little rooms beside the tubes were opened up you can avoid the tubes altogether; How about linking that up instead with the area behind the first doors you come too? The rest of the changes are all good, although i dislike the front-most change where the gaps to fly through have been shrunk nearer to the wall. I thought it was perfect before because a team of 3 or 4 could just about hold it but now its far to easy to just fly straight on in.
