d__e__a__d__l__y Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 I am having trouble posting, but i think i got it now. Anyway each time i play a zone in SS this black screen covers up my playing screen. I have no idea on how to get rid of this black screen of death. Please help me anyone who reads this.
»Maverick Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 What is your computer configuration, what is your operating system? Already tried updating your video drivers, sound drivers, directx, windows updates?
d__e__a__d__l__y Posted December 22, 2004 Author Report Posted December 22, 2004 I have tried to reinstall the continuum program but the black screen still covers my screen when i play.
Bargeld Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 At the game's main menu, hit: control A to access the Advance Options. Make sure you have ONLY 'no framerate limit' and 'avoid page flipping' checked ON. If you are currently using this configuration, then try turning those option off, one at a time. If that fails: update your video card drivers from the manufacturer's web siteupdate directX from www.microsoft.com
Dav Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 prehaps reduce the resolution you are playing at and see what that does.

cgsfss Posted January 30, 2005 Report Posted January 30, 2005 actually its not continuum the game itself its server pack 2i have a dark screen all over my computer but continuum just shows it the worst. and none of this helped me in this thread i plan on freiken removing sp2<{POST_SNAPBACK}> This is why i will not upgrade too pack 2. »Maverick Posted January 30, 2005 Report Posted January 30, 2005 It isn't sp2. I have SP2 and it works fine
»SOS Posted January 30, 2005 Report Posted January 30, 2005 Try checking "software emulation" in the advanced options. And this is probably caused by old drivers. If you know your video card manufacturer, you can try getting new drivers from their website (www.ati.com for Radeon cards, www.nvidia.com for GeForce cards).
Chambahs Posted February 6, 2005 Report Posted February 6, 2005 i used to have that problem, its the resolution, i put the reso higher then my comp can handle, try to use....what is it? 800x600 or something...use that one, to see if its the reso or not
