Tex Posted December 4, 2004 Report Posted December 4, 2004 Many times when I have ?host -ed, i soon after see " Rumble is being hosted!! Type ?go rumble" To me this seems like staff is lazy. Rumble isn't hosted, it is always there! Hosted events should be ran by ER>'s+. This is just my opinion. Am I wrong? What do you think? Tex-The Empire
GhettoSmurf Posted December 4, 2004 Report Posted December 4, 2004 i don't think it is necessarily right for them to ad for rumble, but i don;t think it's a problem. if noone on staff wants to host an event for whatever reason (lazy, busy, don't like the event, etc.), then maybe they're trying to get people to rumble to satisfy the people who want an event, without actually having to host. speeking of which, did nori ever finish that bot to automatically host speedball?
SeVeR Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 So cos rumble has a bot it means staff are lazy if they advertise for it? What if people do ?host rumble. Rumble is the most requested event and its sad that people who suck at it blame the event for sucking and talk rubbish like this. In your poll -*BAD WORD*-le you've used the word lazy and have made this an unfair poll by slipping into your question a presumption that not alot of people agree with. If anyone ever thinks that staff are lazy then consider why they are staff cos its not really of much benefit to them.
Tex Posted December 5, 2004 Author Report Posted December 5, 2004 My poll is bias, yes. But that is not the point I am trying to get across. My point would be that Rumble is not a true hosted event, and I have seen times when Rumble is adverted for and only a few go. (4-6)
SeVeR Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 Why would rumble not being a "true hosted" event be a problem for anyone?
kentbrockman Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 the speedball bot almost killed speedball. when it was available to be hosted 24/7, the staff wouldnt advertise it. and for that reason, it was impossible to get even a 3 vs 3 battle.
BeWaRe Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 You know, you can't be a disgruntled ex-employee when you weren't hired to begin with.
Tex Posted December 5, 2004 Author Report Posted December 5, 2004 Your such a !@#$%^&* beware I mean playfully don't go nuclear on me. Tex-The Empire
BeWaRe Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 Do you think it is right that staff will advert for rumble when they are to lazy to host a real event?I'm a !@#$%^&*? I don't go around making unneeded, biased polls about you based on half-!@#$%^&*ed information.

If 3 people request an advert for rumble, and you put in one for javwar, the rumble is going to be advertised. You can't see when people request events, we can. Putting crap like this on the forums isn't doing anything but making you look even worse. Nobody is going to stop requesting rumble adverts, and none of staff is going to stop responding to them.
