shardz Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 Im wanting to know if anyone knows HOW SOON there will be a patch put in for this thing, as any lvl 1 op knows, it has become a major problem. Maybe Priit or ekted can reply or PM me. Thanks
»CypherJF Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 Both don't really hang around in here. As far as anyone can tell, Priitk doesn't make any updates unless there is an extreme need for it. Contact Ekted in game. Although he himself can't release updates to the game itself.
»Maverick Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 a patch for ... "Gashi" ?? Patch for what?
»Maverick Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 ah now I know what you mean with gashi.. Better call it "map hack" or "map cheat" because its nothing more then that. Only patch for this problem is an updated client. I doubt this will happen soon.
Yupa Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 hard to remember, but isn't this what pr3 fixes?
»Maverick Posted December 4, 2004 Report Posted December 4, 2004 Better call it "map hack" or "map cheat" because its nothing more then that. Only patch for this problem is an updated client. I doubt this will happen soon.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Gashi == map hack / cheat hard to remember, but isn't this what pr3 fixes?I have never seen that release?
Yupa Posted December 4, 2004 Report Posted December 4, 2004 it hasn't been publicly released (like pr2 [!@#$%^&*uming my subconcious didn't make all this up])
»Maverick Posted December 5, 2004 Report Posted December 5, 2004 ah yea continuum39pr1 also has the map hack bug
»Maverick Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 continuum pr3 has this bug fixed but isn't publically (yet). A1 void bug?
»CypherJF Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 mmhmm i won't go into details; however, it's completely harmless... kinda.
»Maverick Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 I think I know what you mean - I have seen it once I think. With spawning at A1 and having A1 completely tiled
»CypherJF Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 I'm not sure if that's it but probably somethign along those lines...
Yupa Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 in the spirit of TW and not giving a !@#$%^&* about anybody else, the in crowd at PBZ has publicly released pr3 and a subgame update (to enforce its use [and fix some stupid crap in pr3]) to improve their zone maybe we should be grateful they're even bothering to release the subgame update? (ha...) anyways, I wouldn't recommend using it yet (unless you want to play PBZ), but: http://download.sscentral.com/Continuum39pr3.ziphttp://download.sscentral.com/sg14bs.zip I believe there will be another update soon to...the server fix probably that will fix some really sad crash bugs.
»CypherJF Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 Well, just create another shortcut... I have 3 of them already since 3 different zones allow different versions. (which is becoming irritating btw). Although, since Grel does allow .39pr1 I guess I could take off the .38. Oh well
»Maverick Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 I will always love .38 .. its more stable then .39pr1 btw... :----------------------------- version 1.34.14bs -------------------------------Removed handler for 'Process debugger' security warnings' date=' as Cont039pr3 sendsthem (as well as your process list) erroneously. ----------------------------- version 1.34.14b --------------------------------Added new security checks for Continuum 0.39pr2 Fixed rare crash on certain invalid packet sequence New server.ini variable: Misc:BindIP - local IP address to bind server ports to. Useful in multihomed systems only. ----------------------------- version 1.34.14a --------------------------------New server.ini variable: Misc:BotsIP - clients with that IP are allowed toexceed packet flood limits ----------------------------- version 1.34.14 ---------------------------------New server.ini variable: Misc:AllowPrerelease - default 1, when set, users withnew prerelease versions are allowed to play New cfg variable: Misc:SaveSpawnScore - default 0, when set, server will savearena score to arenaname.scr file. NB! default setting changes differs fromolder subgame versions, where spawn scores were always saved to .scr file andthere was no option to disable it. Disabling .scr file save will make serverrun smoother and will prevent server directory filling up with useless files. Fixed false connection flood alerts Fixed player not taking damage after macroing ?go arena several times[/quote'] Good stuff
Yupa Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 I will always love .38 .. its more stable then .39pr1 LIES!
Yupa Posted December 11, 2004 Report Posted December 11, 2004 I think it's what the newbs call it because there is some !@#$%^&*istive program out there called "Gashi"
»Maverick Posted December 11, 2004 Report Posted December 11, 2004 I think it's what the newbs call it because there is some !@#$%^&*istive program out there called "Gashi"<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Think so too.. Better call it 'map bug exploit'
Yupa Posted December 11, 2004 Report Posted December 11, 2004 or "Awe, just got patched in pr3, better go find a new program to do all the work for you, newb."
shardz Posted December 23, 2004 Author Report Posted December 23, 2004 Actually, I think it was named after this physicist with the last name Gashi, he studies the "continuum theory" I think it is.
»Maverick Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 You don't need to be a physicist to figure out / make this hack work
