New Pub Map

I say to fix this whole "New Public Map" thingy, this is what (staff) should do...

 

1. Show a new map in pub for 1 day per month

 

2. Ask them to vote on it

 

3. Repeat this for 12 months

 

4. Map with the most votes (best overall) gets to be new pub map for 1 year

 

5. Then repeat the process' 1-5

 

This would solve the problems of "The pub map is to old!".

 

Tell me what you think? Any changes with my plan? Does it sound good?

there's nothing wrong with the map, it's the sets

 

?go complex with li'l army dudes would be choice, but ?go tobeta would be fine, too (even just the sets with current pub map)

I think the settings could use a little tweaking, but all in all they make 17th what it is.

 

As for the map, the ?go 17thnew map we used to use every friday was nice, but for the most part the bases were not practical. A couple of the new maps i see are like that too (for instance the one with the east\west bases that cover the entire sides of the map, i forget the arena name).

 

Here's what you do. Leave the settings, and open a pub map creation contest. Anyone can create a map for 17th (keep in mind we're using current pub settings). After all the entries are subited by a deadline chosen by staff, staff can then vote on the 4 best maps to use on friday of each week of the new month. Vote on all the maps and whether or not more of that map would like to be seen.

 

Depending on how its accepted and how reasonable the boys uptop are, you might find yourselves with a new public arena for good.

i told them to do that in a shorter time, like over two months, and they didnt.

 

your best bet, join staff, stay quiet, and when you get to the top, change it all.

i like the map too, but the colors are a bit annoying. i think we should use this map with the old colors...as in use the map from a couple years ago (if i remember correctly).

 

i would also like to see some different ship settings in pub. maybe something like the ship setts from a couple years ago.

As long as the levi is left alone im fine with it. For the most part. The map needs to stay pretty much like the one now. but could be added on too or something, I dunno. Vile had the levi with them single blue bullets and im not as fond about them as the red bullets. and keep the warp...i couldnt pull off my move without it. Just keep it the same. yes. You can mess with the other ships, or i think there needs to be a new ship. I think the ships need new colors, lets have an alternate ship color day someday.....id like a gold levi....or a red would look good. A levi in a sexy red evening gown would suit just fine. Stutting down the steps in blond hair giving that playful wink and half smile....oops im looking at the wrong thing.

Eh, whatever's fine with me, its not like I have any technique !@#$%^&*ociated with a certain ship type, I suck anyways. I dont even know why I bother playing anymore, I'm horrible. Meh! I like the map as it is now.

if i'm not mistaken, your plan was the original reason for friday's with suprises, which seems to have died. but doing it every month would take too long to get a new map and people would forget the maps.
