Yupa Posted November 21, 2004 Report Posted November 21, 2004 What is the link to the copy of the game you are trying to use? Try this one. You need to try what they've suggested. Temporarily disable your AV, see if it works.Temporarily disable any firewalls, see if it works._Make sure_ you have the latest DirectX installed (meaning even if your computer says it has it, reinstall it anyways), see if it works._Make sure_ you have the latest graphics card driver installed (meaning even if your computer says it has it, reinstall it anyways), see if it works._Make sure_ you have the latest monitor driver installed (meaning even if your computer says it has it, reinstall it anyways), see if it works.Try running the .exe with different compatibility modes, see if it works.Try turning off all unnecessary programs, see if it works. If you do not have an AV, get one and make sure your computer is not infested with viruses, see if it works. If you do not know the state of ad/mal/annoying-ware on your computer, go to download.com, get Ad-Aware and make sure your computer is not infested with such software, see if it works.
Guest Link Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 Yeah, i have the same problem. I also tried all of the helpful info that you all sujested but it still wont work... I think it is because of my Style Xp 3.06. I say this is because i formated my computer and then tried to play continuum before i installed anything else. It worked. But i am really picky and i like my style xp. And after that it wouldnt work. If anyone knows why it affects Continuum please explain why. I think it might overwrite some info for Continuum. Also i would like to note that Continuum is the only program of many that is effected by Sytle Xp.
Guest Guest Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 I just looked at last reply and it was like almost a year before i posted... hope someone still looks at these post lol.
Dylan Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 the exact same thing is happenin to me atm, ive tried everything and ive even made a post, not as succseful as this post obviously, ive also tried everything, no firewall uninstall, changing everything, and yes ive got xp, but it was working for ages with xp, i 1st experienced it when i went to change my controls, nothin seemed to work so i changed my controls back by clikcin the default button, from then on ive been shutoff from the game...
Guest Guest Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 Will this problem ever be fixed by the programmers? Surely if the anti-cheating feature is actually preventing heaps of people from using the game it should be dropped or replaced.
slytz Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 the problem I'm getting is when i download the program and try to install, it says the file i downloaded was corrupt or invalid...whats up with that?
Guest Guest Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 the exact same thing is happenin to me atm, ive tried everything and ive even made a post, not as succseful as this post obviously, ive also tried everything, no firewall uninstall, changing everything, and yes ive got xp, but it was working for ages with xp, i 1st experienced it when i went to change my controls, nothin seemed to work so i changed my controls back by clikcin the default button, from then on ive been shutoff from the game...<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I had this problem and found the only way i could get it ro run was by right clicking on the icon and selecting run as, make sure the current user is ticked at the top and protect my computer is ticked. The only problem with doing it this way is everytime you run it its like the first time, it refreshes the zonelist and any options you changed you will need to do again. names/profiles etc are remembered
Guest Tigress-s1 Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 um i kinda fixed all the other problems but when it starts to load it shows an error saying that it can't load the zone .Some one help me with this plz
»SOS Posted July 7, 2005 Report Posted July 7, 2005 If you used the run as solution, errors are normal. It only sometimes works. As for when this will be fixed... I have no idea if it ever will. The only person who can fix this has not been seen for years by the general public.
