I like trying to keep a high rating but bounce is also really fun. I woulda had a rating of about 650 instead of 350 if i hadn't bought it a few times. BTW my other name, Pirate, qualified before, was in seraphim with that. Quote

To calculate ratings for any of these values' date=' you would use this formula: Rating = (points from kills x 10 + (wins-losses) x 100) / (wins + 100) NOTE: Points from kills does not include crown/flag/ball type points. If you are in a zone like this, to calculate your points from kills, you would take your average kills times your kills.[/quote'] When you buy stuff, it takes points from FLAG and KILL points equally, or at least that's how I understand it (Note: Not full answer, but working on that) Quote
Samapico Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Yeah... when you buy stuff, you lose KILL PTS and FLAG PTS proportionnaly (I guess), so by losing Kill points, your 'total kill points' used in Rating formula is affected ; so is the 'average points per kill', which affects directly the AVE. AVE isn't really Average bounty per kills I guess... more like average points for kills (with current settings, you get 1 pt per bty of your opponent, so they're the same ; except in the case mentionned above) Quote

I've seen it done before in zones where you must get an X amount of points to use this ship #. They used credits and not points so the "ranking" wouldnt be affected. Quote
