A Soldier Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 Sigh... Well, all I can say is that I hope Mr. Bush takes a more moderate at-*BAD WORD*-ude for the next four years. Should have had posted this link earlierhttp://www.washingtonmonthly.com/features/....bushforum.html
makavelilikepac Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 this is bs bs !@#$%^&* bush i wish some one kills his !@#$%^&* and his vice president gets a heart attack again
Bacchus Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 your comments never cease to amaze me.
50% Packetloss Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 Life goes on, Bush will elect some theocracy idiots to the supreme court but thats how it goes down. Who am I to say that Im smarter than 59 million people just because I didnt vote for Bush. Its a democracy so the idea is that the people made the best decision for America. Suck it up; we aren't going to spin off into another dimension, its 4 more years and the 1st 4 haven't been terrably bad. !@#$%^&* could have been worse, so stfu and gtfo.
Bacchus Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 I have to say that for once, i agree with 50%. But I suspect that it won't be "stfu" for very long. "gtfo" maybe, but stfu...? God help you all...why shouldn't He? after all, USA is blessed, isn't it? even though i thought that Bush was gonna win, i can't quite fathom how americans think to elect such a pres. oh, and it sucks.
makavelilikepac Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 im moving to canada !@#$%^&* america
»Ducky Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 I am still in shock myself Bacchus. But then I recall the majority of christian faithed americans and realize how things came to be. Although I wouldn't mind every last bible thumper to be mercifully slaughtered by my god, I must respect the decision of majority no matter how inane those views tend to be. Unlike 2000 where he did not recieve the popular vote, I will give him support this 4 years. He did not desearve the win then, but he does now.
Aileron Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 Yeah, you athiests do so much for the world.
»Ducky Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 I wasn't aware Christians were the only charity organization for both faith and material means. My bad
Yupa Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 this is bs bs !@#$%^&* bush i wish some one kills his !@#$%^&* and his vice president gets a heart attack againI honestly wouldn't be surprised if either happened.Who am I to say that Im smarter than 59 million people just because I didnt vote for Bush. Its a democracy so the idea is that the people made the best decision for America.Well, the idea is that they made the best decision for what they wanted. But it's no difficult task to see that the centers of intelligent thought in our nation generally do not vote Republican (except in obvious cases when the Democratic candidate is a psycho). Most people are stupid, and they shouldn't get to vote, but they shouldn't get a lot of other stuff, either. If people had to take some form of intelligence test before voting, the Republican Party would never win another election (again !@#$%^&*uming the other candidates aren't psycho [or of course if their candidate is a golden child]).Suck it up; we aren't going to spin off into another dimension, its 4 more years and the 1st 4 haven't been terrably bad. !@#$%^&* could have been worse, so stfu and gtfo.Bush is a joke.Ya, I'm considering taking up citizenship in some nice unpsychotic country.
MonteZuma Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I am still in shock myself Bacchus. But then I recall the majority of christian faithed americans and realize how things came to be. Although I wouldn't mind every last bible thumper to be mercifully slaughtered by my god, I must respect the decision of majority no matter how inane those views tend to be....<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I heard on the radio today that the number one US election issue was 'moral issues'. This outranked foreign policy, Iraq, the economy, etc, etc, etc. It seems that Kerry lost because of gay marriages and abortion. About 40% of Americans consider themselves to be born again christians. Who was it that said politics and religion in the US were separate?
50% Packetloss Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 im moving to canada !@#$%^&* america<{POST_SNAPBACK}>HA, tree hugger!! Montezuma, legally there is a seperation of church and state. There is a lot of debate from people who are ill informed but here is a nice source that provides the development of the 1st amendment through legistation and judical decisions.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_amendmentwikipedia is a sweet site so i recommend you take a look around. The seperation has its limits, all layed out in that article. slog, people are always trying to minimize the ignorant vote but it always ends with a a bunch of pissed off people; example: literacy tests and poll tax. I dont think you can claim kerry lost for any number of reasons, there just wasn't enough people that shared his views plus a large number of people that didn't want to vote. There are a lot of christians in this -*BAD WORD*--hole though. Many people are distracted by minor issues of abortion and many other moral issues; its sickening. Really, the government should not be telling you what type of sex or surgery you can have, nor should it tell you what you can and cannot place in your body. But i guess that depends on if you value freedom over public safety.Edit: This is a decent article too, http://www.nobeliefs.com/Tripoli.htm
Bacchus Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Yeah, you athiests do so much for the world. At least, we don't use God to legitimate armed actions or moral issues. faith is a personal thing and i can respect that, but religion is some !@#$%^&*ed up construct; it ASSS ppl minds, it excludes, it discriminates. Born again christians he? a nation of Jesus Freaks...
MasterDrake Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Yeah, you athiests do so much for the world. Bacchus Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 your comments never cease to amaze me.
Aileron Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Atleast our nation isn't trying to destroy our own culture. Not only that, but we are smart enough to know that religion is an important part of society. Go ahead, insult every religion on the face of the earth...your country will collapse for lack of it.
A Soldier Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Go ahead, insult every religion on the face of the earth...your country will collapse for lack of it.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>lol!!!
MonteZuma Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Go ahead, insult every religion on the face of the earth...your country will collapse for lack of it.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Yes. They will collapse with the cowardly, unbelieving, sinners, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur And the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part 'shall be' in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death. Amen
Bacchus Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Atleast our nation isn't trying to destroy our own culture. Not only that, but we are smart enough to know that religion is an important part of society. Go ahead, insult every religion on the face of the earth...your country will collapse for lack of it. You really believe that, don't you? What insults? Not one of us "atheist" said that your faith was dumb or else...only that religion and politics was a dangerous mix..remember Islam? Iran? Afghanistan? no? Tell me what's the difference between Born Again Christians who believes that Israel and Jews have divine rights and Allah's teachings? I personally see none. But i know for a fact that religion justifies wars, moral grounds strenghten by beliefs is exclusive to the believer...THAT is what makes me very uneasy with religious beliefs. Your pres have a mission, a godsend mission...he's a missionary on a conversion errand ffs! USA is proselitising (wtf spelling...), you can be sure it will piss off people. Now, you voted for that pres...now you'll have to face it: people will hate you for it. USA will be criticized, pointed and isolated. Following history, you won't give !@#$%^&* and proceed with your "mission"...more acts of violence will occur, in the name of security you'll lose some of your "cons-*BAD WORD*-utional rights", some will protest, USA will be divided. Your gov will react with force and repression and the cycle will go on and on...until the day when a plane will crash on the brooklin bridge or something. Then all -*BAD WORD*- will broke lose, you'll victimize and ask God for guiddance and enlightenment...you'll want to retaliate, etc, etc, etc.
Aileron Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Bacchus, we are already criticised, isolated, and hated from when we had almost complete seperation between church and state. We've pretty much come to accept that terrorist types will hate us until their death, and the only way to solve the problem is to make their death come faster. As for "civilised" countries like France, they ALWAYs oppose the big guy. Many European nations have almost no seperation between church and state. Besides, that's not what this is. All this is is out candidates paying their respects to religion, pointing out that Christianity is part of American culture and must be respected as such. You ridiculous...someone says they believe in God and you assume they are an all out radical. THEN, you don't think you are athiests. Yeah, you tolerate religion alright...just as long as its not in the public eye. What's next? You'll outcry against churchs inside cities in order to make yourself religiously tolerant?
»Ducky Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 No, we know you aren't a religious fanatic. We understood that when you want to kill everyone and yet still believe in the 10 Commandments.
Yupa Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Please, the Crusaders were religious fanatics.
