Bargeld Posted November 1, 2004 Report Posted November 1, 2004 sounds like ports are being blocked by a router. http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic=3203
Guest SOME DUDE Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 so what exactly do u want me to do, dav?
Dav Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 ok are you on a router or behind a firewall at all?
»Maverick Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 Try disabling the Windows Xp Firewall first (Control Panel -> Firewall with SP2 or Control Panel -> Network Connections -> Properties of Connection for internet). If you are behind a router, access the router http webpage and disable the firewall there. Refer to the router manual for more information.
1868 Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Ok make sure the directrory address server list box says: sscentral.sscuservers.net sscentral.subspacehq.com sscentral.subspace.net ^Copy and paste that in and try again.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>This is the one I use: sscentral.sscuservers.net sscentral.subspacehq.com sscentral.subspace.net server.subspacedownloads.com ssdl.subspacedownloads.com The original doesn't work for me, so every time I delete for whatever reason, I need to dig this up. Might work.
Guest SOME DUDE Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 thnx guyz...BUT none of them work....i am pretty frustrated rite now...but it's okay...i'll keep trying...i really wanna play again
»Maverick Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Might also be your ISP blocking some ports as default. Pernille has had that before I thought...
MikeTheNose Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 I think this is a School Firewall case.
»Maverick Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Yup that might also be the problem.. So many problems.. so many securities.. so many people.. so many deaths...

Dav Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 its a general thing, it works for alot of firewalls at work, school and home. If its a home one there may be something you can do.
