Guest Recombo Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 There are two central problems surrounding the area of Muslim violence. First, Islam as a religion is a warring religion. I'm sorry if anyone is taken aback by this, but Mohammed preached war against incredible odds. Take that fact about Islam and combine it with a group of people who feel hopelessness in their situation. Result: suicide bombers. How to fix it? Good luck....
Dav Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 nice islam bashing there. Islam doesnt at all stand for war, but islamic people feel they must fight to save themselves and thir religion. Islam isnt the only religion to preach war agains non belivers (the extreamests). Early america went on a mission to make each and every native american christain because they believe thats what God wanted them to do. All religions have similar viewes, im sure that if your way of life or beliefs were thretend you would defend them.
MonteZuma Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 This is big news. If he dies - or becomes too ill to function - this will be a turning point in the Arab-Israeli conflict. Only time will tell what direction it will take.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Well. The recent summit in Egypt between the Palestinian Authority president and the Israeli PM is definitely a turning point. Only an optimist would expect the ceasefire to last, but at least there has been a thawing in relations.
Dav Posted February 10, 2005 Report Posted February 10, 2005 Arafat wasnt calling the show, he tried to in the past but a lack of resolution caused HAMAS to act indipendantly of the PLO and they pretty much dont listen. If arafat dies a new leader will be needed, this leader will have to be remarkable if the peace effort is to move foward. Somone that can unite the palistininas into a non-violant approach to peace is going to be unlikly, especially with sharon in israili power.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> seems that the right leader has been elcted. When negotiations get going i doubt sharon will be as generous as the palistinins want, are area of jerusliam in the west bank i feel will not be on the table and that will be a problem, it has ended talks in the past.
The Apache Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 Either way guys, he is dead and a new leader is being selected. The war is probably going to be over soon. GW.
Dav Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 its still tense, both sides will not comprimise enough to please the other i feel so there is a long way to go yet.
