Samapico Posted October 27, 2004 Report Posted October 27, 2004 i'm i the only one who feels that the terr burst is worse than the spider burst? i mean the spider burst is easy enough to dodge as long as you're not pinned into a corner or between two walls. but terr bursts tear me to shreds before i even realise i'm low on energy. i don't think the wb should lose its specials, and a spider with only one port is kinda useless (to me, but then again, i'm not a fan of suiciding for greens).<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree...the terr bursts are so evil... and they always come with 1 or 2 repels, making them impossible to avoid...
SeVeR Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 yep inside base a terr can just reel of reps and burst and kill anyone. its burst should be slower or with less bullets.. either that or the 1 rep thing
X`terrania Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 Yeah really, if your bounty is over 800+ and your in a base being chased by a terrier, kiss your arse goodbye. Not even warping can save you, !@#$%^&*er ?: ) -X`terr
Aileron Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 nah, we shouldn't cut down of the specials too much...otherwise we end up with a shipset of 8 different varients on the Jav. Face it, you guys don't have a problem with the terr's burst. You have a problem with a group of terrs bouncing bombs and repelling you away if you try to get close to them...then if you finally DO get close to them, then the burst. I'd say if anything its the prox...but really it is the simple fact that not enough players want to esc + 3 and wipe the terrs out.

Manus Celer Dei Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 Unless things have drastically changed since I was last on 17th (I somehow doubt this), then all I see here is a 'fad' in how people play 17th. Before this it was the shark, before that the wb, before that the weasel. On the matter of greening. Imo either all ships should start with max specials (burst, decoy, brick etc.. how it was back in the day), or all ships should start with none at all. Obviously this would require tweaking existing setts to stop javs and lancs (which would have an advantage as they don't need to green anyway). But I do feel that all ships should start with maxed nrg, speed, regen and so forth. This helps prevent negging, which I feel would be a horrible horrible bane on the face of 17th.
Delic Posted November 2, 2004 Report Posted November 2, 2004 Ëverything seems so däm complicated when it doesn't really have to be. hint hint ?setoldsettings wink wink nah but uh, this place is going nowhere.. something needs to be done.. something smart.. and sometime soon.. or this place will just remain as it is.. and eventually people will get bored and leave.
