Well - many ideas have been put about having promotions for ships, or steady upgrades, or something of the sort. But i thought using what we already have we could make the zone interesting, but not with changing any of the essentials. Be open-minded its not a big change.

 

k here goes

 

I would like to try removing all of the greenables off everything ship, apart from ones that have 2 of things. Now wait let me explain.

 

Warbird - would start with nothing. But can green - burst,rep,thor,decoy.

Javelin - start with nothing but can green decoy, and possibly something else - but im not going to suggest anything.

Spider - starts with 1 burst + 1 portal, but can green another 1/2 ( i cant remember what max burst is), can green another portal, decoy.

Levi - gets one thor, can green another.

Terrier - 1 rep, can green another rep,burst,decoy.

Weasel - starts with 1 portal, can green decoy + thor.

Lancaster - 1 decoy, can green another 2 decoys.

Shark - 1 brick, but can green another one to create 'Exit Trap', and can green decoy.

 

I would also like to bring back greenable bricks for everyship, but make them v,v, rare. I dont want loads of bricks just, a bit of fun.

 

I just wanted to bounce this off the wall. Cos i think it can create a more stable base fighting enviroment, would stop excessive repping, bursting, etc. i was wondering if we could try it for a week, if u like the idea. terrier with only 1 rep come on javs u gotta love me for this.

Good Idea Zak.. Well, I'd like to add one thing to this idea

 

 

I'd like to decrease the % of speed, truster, rotation, sharps nrg etc for 30 bty negs. They get decreases randomly, but they can green everything to 100%. I'd make less negs lame suicide on 500bty guys and would raise a bit of avg because im sick of 30 bty kills :/

 

Also... I dont like the thing about decreasing bty when someone hits yellow, its odd and kinda pointless.. Either dont make it or drop it to the red ship status, just a lil note from SVS..

yeah terrs don't need two reps to start with especially since they can attach to people near the goal room and rep like crazy killing poor defensless leviathons and unfortunate cloakers wound up in a flurry of mines whilst the terrs team-mates charge in guns ablaze, soccer ball heading for a single destination. :(

Zakalwe, maybe one of the staff will fit your ideas into a #private arena so it can be tested.

I like your idea, but I think greenable items can be really really annoying at times. The chance of greening certain items must be set very exactly in order to make it work. However it is doable.

Sigh, when will you guys ever learn? By now, you guys should know that the Staff doesn't listen to idea's, no matter how good they are. It's against their policy to listen to what the players want.

Haha, reload slaps thread.

 

I don't like it, greening was never a favourite of mine, I like to be ready with all my equipment but I DO think Terrier should only have 1 repel and has to green the other, which isn't that bad considering every gains a certain amount of team greens.

 

Repels are jokes :/

 

But at the end of the day I couldn't care -.-'

 

If pub is still as !@#$%^&*ty as it was last time I was on, then meh...

All of those ideas from Zak are for weakening ships and this not only gets people annoyed but it makes it harder to kill. I do agree with the terr having 1 rep to start with so that when it attaches it can't just "blow away" the other team.

Or, and I know nobody likes this:

 

Burst and Repel are classified as the two "Superweapons", global effect attacks.

 

As such, the two ships with 2+ B/R should have 40 attach bounty.

The Spider already does.

The spider bounty was stupid :/

 

The fact being that a shark is more effective in base with its bricks than a spider is with its bursts. The majority of people who run in and burst I remember not even doing it properly.

 

Terr with 1 rep starting with is your smartest bet, but everytime you tweaked the bounty thing Vile I used to think you were more of a -*BAD WORD*-got because it seemed as if you didn't know what you were doing in pub.

 

But you got away with it because the only real spider player left in 17th was naed.

 

You go about changing more bounties and I reckon it will piss off a whole lot more people.

 

Also just on what Jim said, it weakens some ships and makes others stronger.

 

A lanc with no decoys isn't something special, a warbird witho out its specials is panic station from what I remember but ~shrug~ no one listens to me right? smile.gif

K see what people are saying, i think people are focusing on terrier 2 much atm though, what im suggesting is people have an option, they can go into a fight ill equiped or they can spend a few seconds arming and then attach, its not just terrier its everything.

 

k atm terrier has alot of newbs repping bursting, but this will not only effect terriers, im suggesting these greening idea for all ships, spiders wont be able to go burst crazy, terriers cant go repel crazy, sharks cant go brick crazy, warbirds cant go rep + burst crazy, its not only terrier reps, warbirds attach loads with reps 2. Terriers are going through a newb phase like every ship, it comes and goes try and see past this and at the bigger issue. Also i dont want to have to green thrusters, recharge, and all the rest of it, i want the ships to remain standard, but people to have a choice as to either getting back into the fight ill prepared, or getting combat ready. Giving people a choice. Everyship has a choice, this isnt about beating the terrier or anyship up.

 

O a btw reload as far as i can see the staff have looked at my idea, and are setting a trial arena up, so they are doing something.

Meh, I like the idea of bring the Terrier's starting rep down to 1 with +1 greenable. But the other stuff isn't that good. If I wanted to green everything, I'd go play another zone.

what do u mean the other things arent that good. and what the -*BAD WORD*- do u mean green everything! you fly around without specials most of the time, and most likely u will get most of them teamgreened in the first few seconds, this isnt a big deal, stop making a mountain out of a mole hill

i'm i the only one who feels that the terr burst is worse than the spider burst? i mean the spider burst is easy enough to dodge as long as you're not pinned into a corner or between two walls. but terr bursts tear me to shreds before i even realise i'm low on energy.

 

i don't think the wb should lose its specials, and a spider with only one port is kinda useless (to me, but then again, i'm not a fan of suiciding for greens).
