Dr Brain Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 I have been rather quiet latley. This post is meant to let you guys know where things are. The settings. They're mostly the way I want them. There are still a few loose ends, but all in all, I'm happy with the way they turned out. I can still try my idea of SVS settings in a subarena if anyone is interested. It's not much work to create SVS settings that work with the current system. The gates. I've been promising them for a while. Nerusai agreed to take on the responcibilty for their implementation a few weeks ago. He, like me, however, has been very busy with school work over the past two weeks and hasn't really been able to The subarenas. Many subarenas are simply collecting dust. I would like to change that at some point. Foosball still has potential. Some arenas DO have people working on them though. Quigy has again started working on Castle. The new buy modules. No coding work has been done on them. They're not a big mess like they were a few months ago, but they're effectivly in the same place as before. The rules. I dislike many of the gameplay rules that have been added by the moderators. I hope at some point to resolve these, but I have been focusing on other things. As it stands, the moderation team makes the gameplay rules. Technicly, I could simply veto the rules I don't agree with, but no one benefits when I just assert myself. I'll work with the mods and smod to clean out the bad rules, refine the half baked ones, and clarify the good ones. The staff. Many staff members are finding that they have less time that they were used to, and that they can't put as much time into modding as they previously have. This may mean some of the staffers leave staff but stick around as players. What will happen afterward is really Nerusai's department. I don't know if he'll look into hiring more people, or if we'll even need more mods. I'll keep this short and go work on the zone now If anyone has questions (about virtually anything in the zone), please ask. Freedom is the right to be wrong.
★ CypherJF Posted November 10, 2004 Report Posted November 10, 2004 Here's a suggestion, make a better F1 for new players. I don't mean to diss the current one there, it's good; but I think it was lacking substance.. or something. Just a thought. Owner/Operator of Omega Fire
KoTD Posted November 11, 2004 Report Posted November 11, 2004 Dr this was said before, im pretty sure, but why did the setts change? it seems like the zone pop fell for 2 main reasons:1)server move2)setting changes And I personally think the no swearing rule needs to be enfoced more than it currently is....mods for some reason are always letting people slide by once, but forget about it and let them slide by the next time, over and over again Lazy mods.... Dr Brain Posted November 11, 2004 Author Report Posted November 11, 2004 The population was declining for months before the setting change. Freedom is the right to be wrong.
FunkmastaD Posted November 11, 2004 Report Posted November 11, 2004 Someone remind me to take all of kotd's money the next time he swears in HS, then if you complain I'll refer back to this The more the light shines through meI pretend to close my eyes. The more the dark consumes meI pretend I'm burning bright.
KoTD Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 well...in that case, my swears are what dr brain may call: "border line" unless someone really ticks me off, then i kinda go crazy... as for my money..... 1) I dont see any point in taking it, since I have nothing to spend it on2)How can u take it away if you can't even play in the zone? nikegurl637 Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 I don't understand why you constantly refer to server change. That was like freaking 6 months ago. Bomook> lol there's always a good quote for a sig when nike's around

Dr Brain Posted November 12, 2004 Author Report Posted November 12, 2004 Last time we changed servers was from SSCI to SSCX. As I recall, this was from late December to mid Febuary. We moved from SSCI because when they aquired their shiny new Windows 2003 machines, ASSS would no longer run. Freedom is the right to be wrong.
scarface.nl Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 How is HS doing? If its doing okay I might redownload SS. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v166/ktthesleepybunny/LOLSIG.gifhttp://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b255/JoshDyamond/molewhack.png
