»Ducky Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 ...one of four to vote against banning plastic weapons that can p!@#$%^&* through metal detectors. He voted against a holiday for Martin Luther King. He voted against a resolution calling for the release of Nelson Mandela in South Africa. These are wrong things?
talion Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 Neither Edwards nor Cheney made any big mistakes last night (pending fact checking as Vile said), but they were pretty good about the debate in general and I just wish Canadian debates could be like that lol. Both of them had respect for one another and Cheney made good use of the "nothing to add" routine... I think in some instances he should have spoken all the same. I watched the debate between 3 leading canadian politicians after today's Speech from the Throne (Mcellan Leyton Mckay I think the names are)... it was !@#$%^&*ing funny They kept speaking out of turn and trying to shout eachother out... then again it wasn't a scheduled debate with millions watching. Electoral reform, here we come! (we = canada) will be interesting to see how friday's debate goes, im not sure i understand what town hall means... screened questions from the audience?
Dr.Worthless Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 The vice president, I'm surprised to hear him talk about records. When he was one of 435 members of the United States House, he was one of 10 to vote against Head Start, one of four to vote against banning plastic weapons that can p!@#$%^&* through metal detectors. He voted against the Department of Education. He voted against funding for Meals on Wheels for seniors. He voted against a holiday for Martin Luther King. He voted against a resolution calling for the release of Nelson Mandela in South Africa. It's amazing to hear him criticize either my record or John Kerry's. All this was brought up in 2000 by gore, no one gave a flip then either. And oh yeah.. Cheney talked about kerry's voting record.. you know the guy thats running for president. I guess Cheney could have brought up edwards record, but there isn't much of one because he's spent most of his time being a trial lawyer.
Yupa Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 I'm not entirely sure which of the two would be the best president (still not voting for Bush regardless ), but it's now more clear than it was before (truly note worthy) that Bush is a dumb!@#$%^&* with an IQ of 2.
