Okay, yeah.. I like the thrust on terrier.. but levi bombs are way overpowered.. it feels like it's near unlimited prox.. and.. spiders.. with.. single barrels???? That makes no sense seeing as how spider is supposed to be able to obliterate in closed areas..

Update: Warbird - I WANT MY CLOAK. Javelin - No comment as of yet. Spider - Single-barrel just doesn't fit it. Leviathan - Too strong.. too much bounce and too little energy cost.. too much prox as well. Terrier - Great. Thrust owns. Guns good. Weasel - Don't have one; haven't seen one used yet. Lanc - Too fast and too little energy. Flags - 30 seconds?!?!? WTF. No.

 

EDIT: Antideath - Takes too long for you to see enemy again.. yet they can still shoot at you.

the balance problem is alot worse, a shark has no chance and only levis seem to be effective agains levis. Old sets were alot better.

This zone is now Super Ships with cash. Does anything else need to be said? Stupid settings, but 10X stupider to pop them in without testing them first publicly, like the beta arena. Luckily, it doesn't bother me, since I so rarely play.

i agree, i also dont like seeing the sets change whilst we are all playing, one min the lev had max l2gun then l1.

Well isn't this filled with happy thoughts :huh:

 

Wb is fine with only l1 bombs and slightly more speed

 

Jav is not the l3 + prox -*BAD WORD*- ship that it was, but it's still effective, contrary to what people say.

 

Spid has a nice speed and rotation boost, but its bullet ROF has been slowed and it had become a single barreled ship. It could use the bullets that the Terr has, start with double barrel and multi adds the 3rd stream.

 

Levi has downgraded bullets severly and increased bombs to the other extreme. The bombs have a seemingly endless bounce, a massive prox radius, and a very large shrap number. The bomb just needs a level downgrade to lvl2 max, and the bullets could become lvl2 also. The bouncing bomb option should be disabled so that they bounce at most 2 times but even that is a lot.

 

Terr has become faster in speed and ROF which actually makes the high class ship wantable again, also an energy drop makes it killable again.

 

Weasels are slow and with l1 gun and l2 bomb is still effective as a decent ship, it has a larger amount of energy.

 

Lanc has gone insane with speed now, someone said "It's like a wb on crack" The capital ship needs a speed decrease, and a large energy increase. The ship does need to drop its weapon capability to lvl 1 max gun and bomb. This ship should be only used for ship transport really.

 

The Shark's double barrelled gun makes using the basic beginner ship much easier.

 

So the good improvements in my opinion are to the WB, spider, terr, weasel and sharks.

 

The Jav, Levi and Lanc are in need of adjustments

Also the antideath is causing invisible respawned ships

Ok, after EXTENSIVE testing of every niche, nook, cranny, and corner of the ship settings with a copious grant from another mod (all new ships I bought were sold, and all remaining cash was de-granted by a different mod), I have decided to put new input on our shipsets. Note, all ships, except when noted, can only have XRadar, Stealth, and Antiwarp for Specials, they don't have Cloak.

 

SHIP1: I like the new speed... can't really say anything else, I only use a 20bty warbird at any point in time, so there's no problem with my current one. Oh, and 1250 energy ^_^. As for the Specials, it can only have Xradar.

 

SHIP2: Well, it's now the perfect bomb sniper... minus quite a few things. It's a little too fast. Also, the bomb RoF is too slow for it. It's like TW's warbird, except with a slower bomb that doesn't instantly kill. Add to that the weaker bombs, and it's kinda crap. I like the no-bounce in exchange for bombspeed, though. If you just tweaked the bomb RoF a bit, it'd be awesome. It lays mines faster than it shoots, for goodness' sake!

 

SHIP3: If this owned before, it hits as hard, if not harder, now. As the only ship capable of having L3 bombs and L3 guns, some will find it a very multi-tasking ship. It only has single barrels now, but it gets less drain from guns, though recharge is slower. Energy is ok, too. It also can cloak. Ninja would be proud of this ship if he ever played again. I think it's the only ship that's equivalent to its predecessor.

 

SHIP4: You'd get the same effect from many other zones. In the past, HS was one of the only zones where the lev wasn't the most physically powerful bomber. Now, it joins their ranks. Infinite bounce with huge prox and WAY MORE SHRAP THAN YOU'LL EVER NEED leads to crazy bomblining and bomb-spraying. The center is a minefield, except in Soviet HS, Mine runs into you! (that sucked...) It really needs a tone down...

 

SHIP5: I LOVE YOU! My flagship is now an uber ship. You see, now the terrier has mobility. It has mobility, as well as a higher RoF than before, combined with high recharge makes it an awesome ship. It's pathetic bombs now stay at L1, but your ability to move makes them useful, still. Keep this change.

 

SHIP6: Levi and Weasel were slightly weak before, and now the Levi was supped up. Was the Weasel? Not as much, but still much better. It has ridiculous movement, and EMP bombs do slightly much nicer damage. It can also cloak. Bomb has no recoil! It may seem insignificant, but it's mighty useful for it. It also has a WHOPPING 3k energy with a very nice recharge. Only downside: It used to be a mining ship. Now it can't mine for fish, due to high mine energy drain, slow mining RoF, and only 10 shrap.

 

SHIP7: Capital Ship: A ship which is big and ferries other ships.

HS Lancaster: Bounty Huntress> a warbird on steroids

It's big, it's powerful, but it's FAST, FIRES FAST, and OWNS. In a bad way, though. If it weren't for the even more over-powered Levs, Lancs would be the ship of choice. The old Lanc is much more... balanced.

 

SHIP8: Double barrels. 'Nuff said.

 

OVERALL:

Keep the following as the new changes:

SHIP1, SHIP5, SHIP8

Put this back to its old settings:

SHIP7

Doesn't matter, either setting works:

SHIP3

Needs slight tweaking:

SHIP2

Needs extreme work:

SHIP4, SHIP6

 

I'd have more suggestions, but I'm going to sleep now. That, and I figure, if these are my last days, might as well try and give my opinion.

Alright, now that HS is back up and I actually saw the new sets...

I think they suck. Sorry Brain. Lanc speed is ridiculous, Levi bounce is ridiculous anddd... generally I believe the old sets were better.

 

Also: flag time is 30 seconds, better fix that quickly, or else a bunch of people will be getting easy cash. There were 2 balls, but I removed one. Obtaining a flag again boosts you up a level. Agh.

 

Better fix those things soon o.O And if you really want to use these sets, we should have a reset for it to be fair.

 

AND OMG! Holding down shift on my Lanc makes me go faster than using a rocket. Er... WHAT?!
