DuckDuck Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 Hey why the freak is a ship resets after flag victory.
Dav Posted September 21, 2004 Report Posted September 21, 2004 it would be better to post this in the forum of the zone you play. which zone is it and i or somone will post a link for you.
DuckDuck Posted September 22, 2004 Author Report Posted September 22, 2004 Implied: There's no .cfg setting to turn that feature off unless you know if it.
Jerogoth Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 You can't take it off unfortunately.
»i88gerbils Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 I think in ASSS you probably can. I remember freaking out when Smong put shipreset before race start, and I had to comment it out. At a quick glance at flags.c, I only see the S2C_FLAGRESET packet being sent . That doesn't look too good for trying to get rid of it easily.
Paine Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 Thats the flaggame reset command... isnt it? I guess an easy solution would be for somone to code a bot which, when the flag game counter reaches ... 1? the bot proceeds to warp everyone to a safe zone, then back out into the map afterwards. [senses next comment] But the bot cant see how long the player has left! [/end sensory] Once a freq owns all of the flags, Vic. music starts playing, and if the bot reads the kills, and ?flags, they can see when the timer in the bot would need to start over... I cant explain it very well... and I aint too good with bots, so please, feel free to point out the flaws in my logic.
Smong Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 As said with ASSS you can just skip the flag reset packet. Instead increment the scores and send the appropriate arena messages. I think this is how ASSS currently does the ball game, making the soccer goal packet redundant. re: raceAlso I'm pretty sure I made the ship-reset an option, I know it is now anyway.
