Stabwound Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 In the main menu, if I click on any menu option such as Game, View, Navigate, etc, the list just starts to show up and then freezes the entire program. The only way to get rid of it is to press Ctrl Alt Delete and close the program like that. How can I fix this? I tried to reinstall the game and it still does it. I'm running Windows XP Hope with SP1 installed. Quote
A Soldier Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 get sp2SP2 is buggy as -*BAD WORD*- Quote
Bargeld Posted September 14, 2004 Report Posted September 14, 2004 It sounds to me like a windows problem, not a game prob. SP2 is possibly the easiest fix. I've had it for a few weeks now, without any noticable problems. Quote
Stabwound Posted September 15, 2004 Author Report Posted September 15, 2004 I installed SP2 and there is no change in the problem. Quote
MasterDrake Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 I Have SP2 it works great for me usually if you have a problem it was there before that so fix it Quote
Guest headace Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 ok i just installed this game, well actually a few days ago. first thing: i can't access any of the menus on the top of the screen aka "Game" "View" "Navigate" etc. when i click on one of these a blank drop-down menu appears and Continuum flat out freezes. i got by just using the Profile/Zones buttons on the screen, but its a pain not to be able to access the menus... i wonder what is in them? 2nd: it would be cool to play with my psx pad i have hooked up, so i go to Profile -> Key defs -> and i enable the Joystick/Gamepad toggle, but i can't map any keys to my joystick! it's plugged in and works fine with other games, so i'm wondering if this is a new feature that doesnt work too well, because an admin i talked to didn't know anything about it. i'll continue to play this great game but i hope someone can help me with these annoyances. thanks (WinXP Professional 5.1 Service Pack 1 (Build #2600))(1 CPU - AMD Athlon XP 2600+ (T-Bred), 2.09 GHz, L1: 64KB L2: 256KB)(nVidia GeForce FX 5200) Quote
MikeTheNose Posted September 24, 2004 Report Posted September 24, 2004 Perhaps you should try compatibility with windows98 or 2000. Also which version of Continuum are you two using? Quote
Stabwound Posted September 29, 2004 Author Report Posted September 29, 2004 I solved the problem... it was a problem with a desktop theme I was using in XP. I changed it recently and now all the menus work, so I assume that was causing it. Quote
