Guest TSN Posted September 10, 2004 Report Posted September 10, 2004 For some reason Cont. will close for no reason after being in the game for 10 or so minutes. This has only happened after I rebuilt my computer into a new ATX case. All software/drivers/etc are all the same as before, just a new case. Now it closes for no reason with no error message. Reinstalled Cont., still does same thing. Fiddled with the advanced options and unchecked everything except Avoid Page Flipping and No framerate limit. Still closes after being in the game for 10 or so minutes. I have a feeling its a video card or RAM problem. I did add 2 sticks of RAM when I rebuilt this computer into the new case. I installed SP2 and it ran fine after that. So I don't think thats the problem.
Guest TSN Posted September 10, 2004 Report Posted September 10, 2004 Just played for about a half-hour and then I get the following error msg: "Corrupt executable file 00000002" WTH??
Bargeld Posted September 10, 2004 Report Posted September 10, 2004 heat (vid card or motherboard) or ram (video or system)
The Maurauder Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 I've had that problem before. It is related to overheating of your processor and/or video card. Try installing more case fans or mounting some so that they blow directly across the heat sinks on the chips.
