Every once in awhile my macros get deleted, about once a month or so, though it seems to be getting more often. This would be livable, but I have five or six macro sets for events and such. Another little quirk of my comp is that every few days Continuum crashes when I hit ALT, as in when I'm looking at large radar or trying to ALT-TAB. Any ideas as to why? The macro deletion seems to follow times when Continuum crashes with the ALT thing. I assume they are related, any ideas?

I suggest you use the ?savemacro and ?loadmacro commands. I also had this problem whenever I wanted to change macros or play with another profile...

It's simple:

You can set-up your macros in-game: type the text you want as macro, then instead of pressing 'enter' , press the macro key (LShift+F1 for example). Do that for all the macros you want, then type ?savemacro macrosetname1

(you can put whatever name you want)

You can now load that macro set whenever you want by typing ?loadmacro macrosetname1

You can also make it so those macros are loaded automatically whenever you enter the game by using the auto-message box in your profile options.

Put ?loadmacro macrosetname1 in that box (If you want to have multiple automessages, use \ between each command... not a /, but a \ )

If you want to modify the macros you've set up, just retype your message, press the macro button, resave the macro set

Also, the macro set file created is a .mac file in your continuum root folder, you can open that file with notepad and view/print/modify it there

Using those commands prevents the loss of macros, makes it easier to change macros, allows you to have multiple macro sets (for different zones or events for example) and allows you to load them easily in-game.

Thats what I was looking for. When I lose my macros I open up my macro.dat and it's empty, I don't know if it gets corrupted or what. If ?savemacro creates a .mac file, instead of saving it in macro.dat, maybe thats more stable. Will try it out.
