WHY?

 

It really isn't something special, for christ sake its an e-mail

 

Most of you won't even use it after the first week - There are e-mail services out there that are actually better than Gmail, but an email is an email.

 

Strangly enough, no matter how much AOL does suck its E-mail is scarily quite good, I use it alot for picking up forum threads.

maybe because Gmail has huge storage space, thiers clients for it that check email when u logon, u can use gmail as a secondary harddisk... and much more features...

gmail is actually the best thing ive ever seen. i dont care so much for the 1000mb thing, but my favourite things

-i can send 10mb files, rather than hotmails 1mb limit. so i can send songs, etc.

-it writes in the beginning of the message beside the subject, so i know its spam or whatever

-its very fast

-the junkmail filter is ultimate.

Depends on how you set up Hotmail.

 

Sending file wise I can't say anything about but often I send files and recieve them via Winmx and Messenger.

 

Very quick and simple.

 

Junk filter wise it takes 5 minutes to set up a full proof Hotmail junk filter that recieves what you want without restricting anything frmo sites which aren't on your list.

 

I have pre set out folders where certain emails go to.

 

Hotmail can be a brilliant e-mail service if you set it up correctly.

 

Much like AOL strangly :/

how does gmail work?

Well, it has a neat little spam feature, and it shows a bit of the message beside the name of the message, here;

 

John Tedd, "I hope you blah blah blah..."

 

Something like that, also has the 1gb of storage, so if there is something you want to save for a LONG time just send it to yourself, (Attach it and e-mail it to yourself)

Alot of other neat features, also allows you to put a "Star" on any peice of mail, just to show it is special.
