pACMANx Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 I sincerely hope that none of us ever have to live through the horror of the m!@#$%^&* extermination of our friends, family, and love ones. Those who turn the other way exercise the cowardice, backstabbing, blame, and greed that turned a nation of good people into a blood-thirsty regime. Those who display the symbols of hatred and avarice that led to the deaths of some 7 million innocent non-military are simply ignorant. Talk to a WWII vet while you still have a chance, and thank them. They are becoming fewer every year. I was at the WWII memorial dedication here in DC. You look into the eyes of these soldiers and tell me that it's not offensive. If you can, you are heartless, ignorant, blind, or all three. Quote
DaKillaRoach Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 How do you know if it was horror if you weren't there? Alot of people say war is exciting, shooting someone else gives you a thrill of adrenalin. Well if I was blind how come I can see Ignorant? Yeah also Arrogant. Heartless? but i'm in love Call me whatever I still stand by the fact you shouldn't be offended by something on the Internet like this. Hey if you ant to shout at someone or want to really see some hate go here: The Best Page In The Universe Quote
Zetirix Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 It's not about being heartless, or blind, it's the fact of consideration. The avatar to me doesn't offend me, since I have several friends who have Iron Crosses in their possession. But what it does represent is the past of things horrible gone by, just as the towers' are. It would be my opinion to let people who don't care, just don't say things to em, because... they dont' care? Sounds right. - Z Quote
Arianax Posted August 31, 2004 Author Report Posted August 31, 2004 Probabally shouldn't belittle the experience of those who were in the war, i doubt they're all making up how bad it was, and you can still see some nasty footage, but the point is, that for all those people who suffered and people who lost friends/fam/so on, the avatar represents the organization that took them, so since it doesnt cause to much trouble, it'd probabally be nice to take it down, if you want to stand up for some weird point, then go ahead. + Roach, that link screwed my computer. : P hehe, i saw an interview with some republican guy explain why all the marchers were in, NY was it? anyway it was very funny, went along the lines of this. Interviewer: why are so many people protesting. Republican official dude: well, i think the main reason is that they're insane. that was it. very funny, god bless newsnight. Quote
ntfx Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 It's a logo used in most modern "Pro-white Anti-black" groups. Quote
X`terrania Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 You miss the point, dkr Its not about someone gets offended by it, its about X`Terr avatar by which people get offended by it.Please do not spell it as "X`Terr" it is X`terr. Thanks, god bless! -X`terr Quote
Arianax Posted September 1, 2004 Author Report Posted September 1, 2004 Why don't you colour in the birdies legs yellow, that might sort the problem out. If my avatar is offending anyone, just shout, I'll understand. Quote
DaKillaRoach Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 The presence of the Maurauder in 17th Parallel is offending to me, anyone mind removing him too? Seriously, if you can do it, DO I'm so tired Quote
X`terrania Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Feit, your avatar is offending me since my entire family was slaughtered in a samurai sword fight.....I also changed my avatar so you -*BAD WORD*-ing little **** do not get offended, you should know that I am just supporting a group that I believe in, so go ahead and shout out all your family problems. Thanks, god bless!-X`terr Quote
pACMANx Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Whether you do or don't support the group responsible for the greatest human tragety in recorded history is irrelavent. Respect for the dead and even for your friends in your home zone should preclude that sort display. Yes we have the freedom to express our ideas, no matter how outrageous. I fully support the 1st amendment, (note the group you support frequently killed countrymen for having differing opinions) but there is a time and a place for it. Subspace is not the place for racism and hate. If it is, the FAQ needs to be updated. Quote
