Basically, changing directions without obstacles is nearly impossible, making it easy for a jav to overwealm. I'd add a few more obstacles in the center, and some asteroids around the center. I like the ball time, and I like the various routes to the bases- particularly the north corridor. -=pax=- Quote

I just can't imagine myself playing in another map than that... it ownz! Quote

All you seem to have done is extend the left and right tunnels and then encouraged the weasel, the ship that not alot of people like because it doesn't fit in (suprisingly you play the weasel - from what I've seen anyway) There seems no point in going the long way around so far because of the fact you can just 'tube' the ball. That in its self is crap. The terrier is suffering, the javelin and the weasel have increased potential (especially the weasel) and the other ships don't seem to fit in many other places. I can't see this being played lots and lots, its... boring lol I hate the map we usually have but this is worse from what I can see so far. Thank you for trying but this attempt isn't something I think we should use... ever again... It won't be pub map, it smells to be slightly polite Quote
DaKillaRoach Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 Note: Just to say something else (in a double post ^_^) People are saying they are complaining because they can, or because its new and all that other crap I've seen this thing from the forums grow and be updated each week (the map) and havn't had a chance to play it. I play it now its been tweaked and find nothing 'special' about it. It has flaws which can't be fixed, where as the old map was boring to me because of how long I played with it, it did have advantages to all ships in every place that they would be. It had the right time of length for the ball to be scored (and the right ball keeping time!) You have made one way ridiculously short without any real way of stopping it without spending all day by the tubes :/ or a long way around where teamwork in 17th doesn't exist to any real standard. At the end of the day any of our opinions wno't mean a -*BAD WORD*- thing. 17th will still put any map up because todays 17th players won't leave, they are too addicted and liking to the zone (heavens know why!) Newb tactics have been increased, 'laming' has been centered more throughly and this map has nothing appealing to its qualties apart from it looks nice when you press Alt. It seems this will be our new pub map, it also seems you might drive out one or two more veterans for no return in newbs. Cutting your own throat but like I said above, opinions mean -*BAD WORD*- all in this zone Quote
