Subspace Continuum and winXP

When I first install Continuum on my computer, and run it...it just sits there, doing nothing...the arrow with the nice little hour gl!@#$%^&* is taunting me, I don't like it...and my Tast Manager tells me that it sometimes loads up 2 copies of continuum.exe...Can't close the process either...what to do?

I have had something sort of like that, except it just says Continuum is loaded, then 2-3 minutes later it will say an error has occured on some continuum file, but this only happens once every month.

Try re-installing it ?
