At first glance it sounds dumb, but the plan is to give military doctors an opportunity to practice their skills. Is that really such a bad thing? Medical training using silicone implants isn't all that different to military training using blanks.

In any case, a woman who'd subject her body to a trainee doctor for the sake of vanity deserves to be canon fodder. Send 'em to Iraq.

Military doctors don't get cadavers for practicing incisions??

the reason is because our doctors don't get alot of practice accept during war time and they really don't have alot of experience coming out to do a job like that. It doesn't cost any extra money for them to preform the operation the only thing that cost a dime is the supplies most of the money is to pay the doctors in the civilian world thats not the case in the military.

your not understanding, military doctors do not get enough experience while in the service to do them any good once they get out and want to find a job in the civilian world, excluding war time doctors. You think it cost lots of money for these operations because civilian doctors charge so much but thats just gouging there prizes for an extremely high profit. The only costs involed are for the supplies to do they operation, the military doctors get paid the same ethier way so I doubt they care smile.gif

So Boob jobs are taught in basic med 101 now? I was under the impression that it was part of a specialized field that required abit different training.

Why can't the military doctors do the same exact -*BAD WORD*- that regular doctors do for experience. School and temp. I obviously am unable to see implants and gunshot wound in the same catagory.

Seems like a big waste of time that they could be polishing other skills with. Let them -*BAD WORD*- around with special fields after they are done and quit wasting the goverments time.

Wow,

First off, they don't just send mil off to any doctor it is specially contracted by the mil. They do, do this to practice and broaden there medical knowledge as well as boost the moral of the individuals and surrounding individuals. Breast augmentation is no longer a porn star thing to do. It’s the same as getting other body changes like a bad birth mark. Given, I might not agree with the fact that it is like that, but non-the-less it is.

The military is very pro moral considering it is a volunteer mil. It also isn’t something that anyone can get done, you have to go through several steps to get it done. It might sound stupid but I believe you have to see a therapist and he/she has to deem that your moral/emotions/whatnot will be changed for the good of the Mil by the augmentation. The same thing happens on the outside world except it is covered by insurance… well the military is our insurance soo.. it is really indirectly the same thing.

Given I think it is a bit ridiculous that some people can’t live with there bodies, but I know if I could get other, extensions for free. I would change my name to Dirk Diggler or Ron Jeremy and move to Hollywood.

I tend to have a bit twisted ideas, but hey they are my own. I don’t really agree that it is right, but if it wasn’t done this way, it would just be done through insurance, which us tax payers still pay for.

By the way, Military does pay taxes.

According to my father, an Army Vet... while you're under service, you don't pay taxes, they have specialized PDF (I think he said) stores which aren't subject to federal taxation laws. Though, I do think individual soldiers don't pay them, maybe the branches do... I'd have to check into it.

Nah, we pay taxes. The only thing we get "tax free" is the BX and commissary (Department / Grocery Store) and like a few on base things, but I mean, for people who live off base they are really out of the way, but they are a valuable resource. But we defiantly pay taxes in pay and everywhere else we go.

Yeah er get taxed the -*BAD WORD*- out of since my state doesn't tax its military residents (because some states still take taxes even if your in the military) so the fed taxes took what the state was taking and dropped in on me lol Lucky me eh, and trigger is right our doctors don't get alot of major experience less you call giving shots a operation o_O (step up to the line and stop at each line station- Owe station 2 OWe station 3 -OWE Station 4 the none air gun -*BAD WORD*- OWE!) :D

This is ridiculous. Female soldiers won't be able to move as well with larger breasts. They'd just be added weight, and an obstacle to get around when trying to do physical stuff.

There is a logical reason why (most) female athlete's breasts remain small.
