c2s woes

i'm being specced for 0.0 c2s

 

my lag:

PING Current:90 ms Average:150 ms Low:50 ms High:1110 ms S2C: 0.1% C2S: 0.0%

 

this has been happening for the last two weeks, i've done countless spyware checks, i have none, this is happening in most zones, i've powercycled my modem at least 20 times.

I get that too... But I think it's not a modem/connection problem... It happened to me when my computer seemed to be running not smoothly (ie: game freezing for about 0.1 second once in a while (like if something was working in the background, but there was nothing... )) And if something started up in the background (like a MSN Messenger pop-op), I would get that too ; sometimes I get specced like 2-3 minutes after the 'lag' occured... I say 'lag' because I'm not referring to modem lag, but CPU lag...

 

Anyway... I get specced for 'high latency (C2S)' and have 0.0% ploss too ; but I think that 'high latency' doesn't refer to ploss ...

 

erm.. does the message you get talks about ploss or is it 'high latency' as I sometimes get?

high latency means that it could be the quality of your computer, not necessarily the quality of your internet connection. You can get specced and receive the high latency message when you alt-tab, if your computer isn't up to par, or if you have a lot of applications open. Try using the task manager (cntrl-alt-del) and closing anything unnecessary.
