Pfft it sucks.

FF6 is ownage, FF 7 and 5 are semi-ownage, anything past FF7 in terms of Final Fantasy sucks.

All they are doing is hyping up graphics for silly little kids :/

No FF past 7 has had a good plot, story line and base of characters and enemies, no growing sub-plots and minor character development, no actual fun and unique battle system and pre-battle system and no oooh I want to play this, feel factor about it.

I don't care what fancy -*BAD WORD*- graphics you put in a game, it doesn't make it good, especially when the companies are obviously more interested in earning money by selling half hearted no brainer games into the gaming market for idiots to buy >_>

The director? As in a director of a film? Do they have directors of computer games or just really big powerful money hungry bosses prying off the young, the igorant and the stupid?

As far as I knew all the FFs were made by the same group of people and the same company and the same ideas thrown around. Would explain FF 7, 8, 9, 10, 10-2 and 11 blum.gif

From what I know generally sets of computer games, e.g. FF, R.E and Front Mission all had at least 75% of the original makers working on the team.

I've been told many things about Squaresoft and their 'devlopment' of FF and it all involves big piles of bringing in cash ideas. Not something I class as good :/

I enjoyed no FF after 7 because they all sucked -.-'

I will hold my breath and play FF12 when it comes out, I will try it but I'm sensing another bad mark on the FF name.

Well honestly games are made to make money.

And the way they make money is by not making the game for the hard core rpg fan who will go insane if they can't reach level 99. They make it for the general populous, so that everyone can buy, and try to enjoy these games.

And each final fantasy, except for ffx-2 has its own unique battle system, and level system, and character development system. No two games stay alike.

And even if you notice, the reason why FFXII is so big and was so big, really wasn't because of its story. I don't think they wooed millions of people into buying the game because when those people walked into the store they were like "Man that game looks like it has great story, lets buy it!" Most peeps were like "-*BAD WORD*-! look at what square did to the graphics for the playstation! Wow I need that -*BAD WORD*-!" lol bad example but very close to right.

There is not a single game created that is not created for the sole purpose of making money. You just happen to have to find a company whos main audience fits the best with you.

And if you're a hardcore gamer, specially rpg, you really have to settle.

Yes NBV I know games are made for money smile.gif but also gaming companies used to think of the want for a GOOD game from which they saw that more important.

Ideas, new devlopments and a proper storyline were actually thought out and were all placed together for some true master pieces. They were made for money but also very much for a PROPER RPG and well alot of todays supposed rpgs are money making scams.

Bad gameplay, bad story line, simulated battle and 'tactical' ideas.

This is why the SNES rules so much (although the NES is right behind it ;) )

People now a days are making uber graphics for games and alot of people are !@#$%^&*uming good graphics make a good game. -*BAD WORD*-o? You guy plays a 2D game and would argue it betters not many other online games simply for the skill level.

Too much thought has gone into graphics its ruining proper game play for RPGs in my opinion :/

Also can I raise a point on your post NBV where you say:

And each final fantasy, except for ffx-2 has its own unique battle system, and level system, and character development system. No two games stay alike.

Have you played FF 1, 2 3 (5) and 4 (6)?

FF9 reminded me too much of a bad FF3(5). It seemed almost the same battle system and almost the same copy of the tactical side of FF5 (Although admittedly there is a lack of tactical depth in FF but you can't have everything) while I swear I have seen a copy of FF8's tactical and battle system in a old SNES game.

FF10; well I can't fully comment upon that. I have FF10 at home (going back in a few weeks so will play it then) but from what I've seen, know of the story, etc. its pretty bad... also whats with a captain called 'Wakka'!?

FF10-2 is an easy, cheap version of FF10 lasting barely hours and filled only with cheap half dressed female sprites :/ (que Ricebowl)

FF11 seems a wanna-be WO or Evercrack

I've never played a Final Fantasy game... (insert gasps here i suppose) sitting in front of a screen playing a game doesnt sound like much fun ... er... uh... ooh... hehehe

Buy a gun, its cheaper in the long run than spending $50 on a game for pity's sakes. and blowing up birds with a 12 gauge is alot more fun for only $1.50 for ammo than killing whatever the -*BAD WORD*- you kill in fantasy... yes... i kill birds... sue me you -*BAD WORD*- hippies

I hope they have a different battle system or something. I'm sorry, turn-based got old to me, real fast. They ought to try something like Star Ocean or Tales of Symphonia's (Something different geez). I'll do some research on it before I consider buying it later on, like I do with all games.
