Okay, it seems there is a general consensus that the ban was unfair, but as i was talking to an upper staffer earlier, we needed to have logs and our word isnt worth crap any more. Of course there have been lots of witnesses to edit's rash temper, of course i apparently got him mad cuz i am a 56ker,and lord knows you cant have 56kers in continuum, no no....boo the hoo. So the only question im asking is if you instill the mod protocol, y is edit still staff and Cord the only one fired? muy interesante chicos y chicas.

I don't mean for this to sound harsh, but consensus is meaningless. We can't simply act upon general consensus without evidence. This shouldn't resemble a witch-hunt.

It isn't that your word is worth nothing, but that your word is worth as much as anyone else's word.

logs?? wouldn't logs be needed to prove he's guilty too?? but noone has logs, so, how can we not suppose he's innocent... You need proofs to prove someone is guilty, not to prove he's innocent, according to the law. I know this is just a 2d online space game blum.gif but still, this is common logic

Think of it this way.

When a mod bans someone, it's like passing sentence. Mods are supposed to be trustworthy, in the same way as judges are. Mods act on evidence 'at the scene of the crime', as it were.

If, however, you wish to argue your innocence, you submit a formal appeal (to pern).

You must therefore have evidence to present if you wish to overturn your ban.

Only if you pay for it ;)
